I've got a PlyGem window that has condensation in between the two layers of glass. The window is still under warranty. I filed a warranty claim three months ago. I have an email confirming receipt of the claim and two auto emails after that thanking me for my patience. I've asked a couple of times for an update with no response.

Submitted a warranty claim and after three months and paying for shipping the contractor opened the crates to discover both units shipped were wrong. Submitted a new claim and I am two months into waiting for any response other than please be patient. Just called them only to be told they are behind and it would be another two weeks before anyone even reaches out to me (not resolve, just actually look at my issue).

The firm that built my house used their windows. Within the first three years, we had to replace three that the seals had broken and they fogged up. This was done through the builders contact at that time and we just had to pay for installation. That contact no longer wishes to work with them so we have to go to them direct. I did this and filed a warranty claim over three weeks ago. Having never even received a phone call I followed up just to learn that they have so many warranty claims they were advising me that it would be at least two months or more before anyone would even review my claim. This tells you something about the number of claims against them! The person I spoke with was not very cooperative and very unprofessional. Basically they can just keep their darn windows. I would rather pay someone local and have a brand new window manufactured, then deal with idiots like them.

We purchased a large PlyGem picture window for the front of our home less than 10 years ago, and unfortunately, it appears that the seal has already failed. The window now holds moisture between the panes, which has ruined both the appearance and function of what is supposed to be a beautiful front-facing feature window directly above our front door. This is a fixed picture window, meaning it does not open or close and has experienced virtually no wear and tear beyond normal glass cleaning. For such an expensive replacement window, I am extremely disappointed that it has not even lasted 10 years. What has been even more disappointing than the product itself has been the warranty process. It has been a complete cat-and-mouse game trying to get help. The store where we purchased the window directed us to the online warranty claim site, which we completed as instructed. After submitting the claim, we were told someone would reach out to us, no one ever did. When we followed up by phone, we were told our claim was “in the queue” and would be reviewed the following week. After hearing nothing again, I called back today, only to be told it would be another 2–3 weeks before someone could even review the claim. I was also told the manager was only available through voicemail, so I left yet another message. From the very beginning, we clearly communicated that we are hosting our son’s wedding reception at our home this August and hoped to have this issue resolved before then, so we would not have a deteriorated, moisture-filled window facing the front of our home during such an important family event. At this point, I am disappointed both in the durability of the product and in the lack of responsiveness and customer service regarding the warranty process.

Purchased Mastic Ovation siding for my home. Within 2 years it has faded terribly on any side the sun hits. Well over 1000sq.ft. They offer 100% warranty under 5 years. Come to read reviews of the same siding warping and fading and Ply Gem states that it is no fault of the product. They force you to pay to send them a sample then they deny your claim saying it's not covered. BUT they then make a small offer like they are doing you a favor but have to sign off that you cannot come back on them for anything. They offer the bare minimum for labor no credit to dispose and a small amount of siding. With well over 1000 sq ft damaged within 2 years they offer 400 sq ft. That won't even touch the amount that is damaged and the amount that will get worse. They ruined the value of my home and do not honor their warranty. I see many bad reviews on the other products as well and nightmare customer service. Stay clear of any Ply Gem products. You will be sorry.

So, two things, firstly Xhemial Mimic who was my first contact with Plygem directly out of Kelowna was so very helpful....listened to my concerns of failed seals on our patio doors had a site tech scheduled the very next week. Then secondly, Tyler who is their onsite tech showed up and was very very careful not to damage our floors when he removed the doors for seal repairs. He took his time, cared for our house like it was his own !!! Fantastic service from these two folks. Thanks again TEAM!!!!

Do not purchase Ply Gem windows. They are not built to last….not even 1 year. I have had problems with these windows since I purchased my house in 2010. I used to be able to call the local company who installed them and they would warranty them. It was easy. Recently I had a back window that the lock mechanism broke. You now have to fill out a ridiculous form online and take multiple pictures of each window. I also submitted a claim for windows that are hard to closed and one that developed a spot. After not hearing something for 1 week I called customer service. She said it will be 6-8weeks before the claim is reviewed. I said the lock is broke and I can’t secure my house. She said I should have called and told them (said nothing online about this). It was expedited and the reviewed my claims. They said they will ship a new lock and I will be contacted in 2 weeks to schedule an appointment. My window does not lock! My second claim about the spot was denied. Based on the pictures she determined I “modified” the window because it’s in the up position to fit a cat door. The solid part of the window that does not move is the problem. My third claim about the windows being hard to open/close was completely ignored. Ply Gem has hired customer service/warranty representatives who have been taught to deny claims. There is no way to contact them other than the ridiculous warranty form. This company does not have quality windows and their warranty is bogus.

Despite significant effort on my part, including submitting detailed documentation and photographs, the damage was deemed not covered under warranty without a satisfactory explanation. The process felt predetermined and unresponsive to my case, which was disheartening. The lack of transparency in the warranty policy was especially troubling. If certain damages are not covered, this should be communicated clearly from the outset rather than requesting unnecessary information. The current policy, which seems to ignore damages like glass breaks from no external forces, appears flawed and unhelpful. As a loyal customer, this experience has significantly impacted my trust. I hope the company reviews its policy and approach to improve customer satisfaction and transparency. Warning to others: Please stay away. This has been the worst warranty policy experience I’ve ever encountered.
