High fees, low results, and broken promises.
I joined this program after seeing advertisements about a Shopify dropshipping partnership with high monthly revenue targets ($29k) and a profit-share model (70%-30%). During the sales meetings I was told there was a 90 days or money-back guarantee if I was not satisfied, and that the service fees would be collected from the store’s profits once it became profitable. In reality, right after (and even before) signing, they aggressively pushed for upfront payment and tried to get me into third-party financing. I refused the financing and negotiated payments instead. I paid part of the fees upfront $2,500 cash then another $2,500 a week later at the end of the month $5,000 by credit card. When they requested the remaining $5,000 balance, I pointed back to the original promise that fees would come from profits. Because the store never became profitable, that remaining amount was never paid. I was also required to fund a minimum advertising budget of approximately $1,500 per month, plus other operating costs. This requirement was not clearly explained during the sales process and only appeared in the long contract, which I was pressured to sign quickly. During the first two months the assigned account manager produced almost no results (only six sessions and about $200 in revenue). The company later terminated him. No credit was given for those two months. Around the third month, after seeing only negative numbers in revenue, I requested a refund under the money-back terms I had been told. I received no response for approximately 30 days despite multiple emails, Slack messages, and direct messages. Near the end of that period I changed the store passwords to force them to communicate, Only after that did they contact me. They claimed the refund window had expired ( that's why a month of ghosting me), I asked them to credit the two low-performance months caused by their own account manager, but they refused. Instead of a refund, they offered an additional six months of their services at no extra program fee. I declined that option because it would have required me to continue spending approximately $1,500 per month on advertising while the store was only generating around $200–$280 in revenue. It was essentially more of the same situation, not a real solution. Throughout the engagement (5 months) the store generated only $280 average per month while I was spending approximately $1,500 per month on ads alone. When I pointed out that this was far from the $29k target, they blamed me for not spending enough on advertising. They later suggested that $4,500 ad spend would have been needed — something that was never clearly disclosed before I signed. In the fifth month, after continuous losses, I stopped funding advertising from my personal money and decided the store should finance its own ads from whatever revenue it generated. The company later claimed I “defunded” the store and that this caused the failure. In reality the store was already deeply unprofitable long before that point. When I made payments, some charges appeared under the name Fanbases. An account was created on the Fanbases website under my name without my knowledge or consent. I had never heard of Fanbases, never visited the website, and never created or accessed any account there. Later I disputed with the credit card company the $5,000 paid in fees to make them honor their promise "collect fees from store profits". During the card dispute, it was claimed that I was an unsatisfied customer who had abandoned the account and had not logged in for 90 days. The card company investigated and ruled in my favor, returning $5,000. This is my personal experience with the program
