We create high performance ultralight backpacking gear without middlemen or retail markups. When you're headed into the intensity of nature, having high performing ultralight gear is inspiring. It helps you go farther while staying safe and comfortable. It empowers you to go where you haven't gone before.Outdoor Vitals was founded for this purpose. We tenaciously pursue the design of performance ultralight gear and sell it directly to you without the extra fees of investors, middlemen or retail markups so you can spend more time outdoors pushing, learning and growing.By changing from the traditional way of doing business & selling directly to you we cut 40-50% out of the price tag of products sold through retail stores. We then turn around and invest those savings into building a better product so you know when you head to the mountains you have gear with you that is uncompromising in quality and design. Gear that will keep you comfortable and never limit you.We take the harder path of business to better connect you to the Vital Outdoors.

I emailed with questions, and they responded promptly and answered all my questions. I ordered products from them. They shipped them out quickly. Very happy with them. I would absolutely recommend them, the Nova pro and their fleece are amazing.

Glad you're enjoying your jacket and fleece! Thanks for sharing your experience.
My new favorite pants. My only complaint is the fabric rubbing against itself is a little loud.

I’ve been consistently impressed with their backpacking gear — the quality is top-notch and I’ve never been disappointed with a single product. I especially like their membership program: the monthly charge goes right back to you as store credit, which is a smart and fair system. Their R&D clearly shows in how well their gear performs in real conditions. Plus, their social media is not just marketing — it’s genuinely informative and helpful for outdoor enthusiasts. Highly recommend.

Sweet discount on pretty inexpensive base layer to get a feel for the brand (first OV purchase) and pleasantly surprised by the quality and simplicity of the altitude hoody, love the small company vibe! I knew what the founder looked like before I even considered buying anything just from YouTube probably Dan b’s Chanel. Fast shipping! Catalog! Sticker!…and a primo ls sun hoodie under $50! And already a discount for my next purchase (VENTUS)!! Next level guys and F$&@ Backcountry/rei/mj!!
