Terrible company - absolutely scandalous - do not use. I upgraded to business, and now it's impossible to delete my account - it's been two months, and they keep sending me to unhelpful pages or not answering my emails. The option to cancel isn't there - it's an absolute scam.

Thieves. I had to upgrade to business level service and thought I'd be charged about $220. They charged me $750 for "three seats" even though my profile says explicitly I'm a single user and I had never seen anything about "seats." Inexplicable. I've twice, maybe three times, contacted their so-called customer service and have gotten nothing but an automated reply confirmation email. Evidently, it doesn't have customer service. If I don't hear from them, I'll cancel my service and ask the credit card company to try to get a refund and propose blocking all customers' payments to this company on grounds of deception bordering on fraud.

I used Otter in 2022 for a client and paid for the pro account right away. It was a MUCH different product experience than it is now. I wanted to try Otter with some other notetaking tools so I signed up for a free account but I selected "don't automatically join meetings" by default and this is not what it will do. It will automatically join a meeting, then of course, you're in a meeting, and you can't turn it off as you're in a meeting already, so you go ahead and choose to deal with it later. Afterwards, Otter.ai sends each person on the invite list a recording, but they can't see past 30 minutes on the free account. So the CTO who didn't attend is asking me for access to a transcript I never intended to record or share. I ended up having to pay for a monthly subscription to unlock it for him. However, Otter.ai only captured 42 mins of a 2-hour meeting - so that was pointless. Then I went it and turned if off of everything, and it STILL tried to join a call I was having later in Google Meet. I reached out to support, and there wasn't a response. I have deleted my account and all my data - this is basically MALWARE type software now and I will be disputing the charges if they try and charge me anything. DO NOT USE THIS TOOL.

The site is trying to charge me even when I’ve subscribed for annual premium and when I tried to cancel there’s repetitive attempts to charge my card. Fraudulent company! Poor value.

I had used Otter for five years with unlimited access to all of my transcriptions (every single one has since been customized with additional data). Hundreds of calls, thousands of hours of recordings...and they've removed access to all of my content. WITH ZERO WARNING. They even promised I'd have access with my "legacy play" until 2025. Yet all that I can acccess are the latest 25 recordings (and I do 3+ per day, so that's less than a week of content). I've reached out countless times to their support via every channel possible. The only response I've gotten is "try resetting your browser cache." This service is to be avoided AT ALL COSTS. I hope this company goes out of business. They have the most dogsh*t useless support I've ever experienced.

Terrible customer service, they won't address a glitch that keeps happening and now I somehow exceeded all of my plan's hours?? I regret purchasing this service, I never even wanted to sign up for the year I wanted to do monthly and they locked me in with their stupid policy. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Really bad. This is a rip off do not use it. Even though Our files failed to upload Otter still charged us. they used to be good but have switched to an upload cap model and will count any failed uploads

The product is satisfactory, but their customer support is non-existent. I have sent 3 messages to them trying to get them to fix a account issue and have ZERO responses.
