Fast, efficient turnaround on an auto loan

we made a deposit, it was a bank draft from Ireland written on a US chase account, the credit union accepted it and the deposit went into our account, a few days later we got a message the deposit was withdrawn from our account and referred back to the original bank. the original bank has said they can do nothing as the draft has been cashed, one AZ says it with the original bank, and nothing they can do, It has been 6 months, My money is gone and this credit union is who cashed the draft, and started this mess, no one will take responsibility and my money is missing
