Hi Paul, Thank you for your candid feedback. We apologize for any confusion or concerns regarding our billing process and would be happy to provide you with further details. As a Nexamp community solar subscriber, you have a share of one of our solar projects which is generating clean energy directly into the grid. Your utility will apply a reduction to the amount due on your usage costs based on the amount of solar energy your share has produced each month. These reductions that offset your usage costs are what we call solar energy credits. Your utility will still issue you a bill each month for the electricity you use, but it will be reduced by the value of the Nexamp community solar credits that were generated. Nexamp will then invoice you separately for the value of the community solar credits you have used, but at your discounted rate. Since Nexamp does not send you a statement until we receive confirmation from your utility that you received a discount, our invoices will always be in arrears. This means you are billed for the credit already applied and used towards your utility costs. Regarding cancelation, as outlined in the “Early Termination” section of your contract, the process can take up to 90 days. During this period, you’ll continue to receive and be billed for solar credits used until your account is fully updated. Nexamp does not charge any cancelation fees and you will continue to save on your electricity bills until your cancelation is completed. Should you have any additional questions, our team is eager to provide further assistance. We strive to ensure our customers are well-informed and encourage you to explore our online help center at https://help.nexamp.com/ for immediate support. Alternatively, you are welcome to directly contact our support team for personalized assistance.

Hi Chris, We are sorry to hear that your experience with Nexamp has not met your expectations, particularly regarding billing clarity and communication. We value transparency and predictability in billing. To clarify, we bill in arrears, which means there is a delay between when the solar credits appear on your utility account and when we issue a bill for those credits. This method ensures we only bill for credits applied to your account, striving for a transparent and equitable billing process. We’re actively coordinating with our utility partners to streamline this process. We understand that the solar credit amounts can vary throughout the seasons and are prepared to work with our customers on an interest-free payment plan if necessary to align with your budget. Please be assured that your credits and 10% discount are accurately reflected on your invoices from Nexamp and we would be happy to review that with you. Our aim is to enhance your financial savings and environmental impact annually. We will follow up to discuss your account and ensure your concerns are addressed. We appreciate your candid feedback as it is crucial in helping us to continue to grow and improve.
