**A solid nonprofit CRM with lots of potential** We’ve been using Neon CRM to manage our nonprofit’s donors, fundraising, events, and communications. Overall, it’s a solid system with a lot of functionality and flexibility. I especially appreciate having donor history, recurring gifts, events, and reporting in one place. The biggest challenge is that some reporting and data analysis can be difficult to navigate. Sometimes getting a simple answer requires knowing exactly which filters to use or exporting the data to Excel for additional analysis. That said, Neon has been a valuable tool for our organization, and I think it has strong potential for nonprofits that are willing to invest the time to learn the system. I’d especially like to see more intuitive donor lifecycle reporting and automated stewardship tools in the future.

We completely hear you on the reporting learning curve, though—getting quick data insights shouldn’t feel like a puzzle. We’re actively working on making our analytics more intuitive and hope some of our ongoing improvements will continue to make this work easier!
SO many great things about Neon. Except when things aren't great. I like the events and the unlimited accounts in the CRM. I appreciate the one-on-one training and that they are constantly improving the system. The team responds quickly and respectfully to our organization. Pulling reports can be tricky, but the experience is improving with time. One important downfall is that, as a performing arts company, we tend to have more specific ticketing and event needs to ensure our patrons and attendees have a smooth and pleasant experience. Right now, Neon doesn't have all the capabilities we need. It has so many capabilities, though; I am confident it will improve as the years move forward.

Well, the onboarding is just unbelievable difficult, I've had to contact CS so much for issues that are bugs in the Software or details with no explanation. I'm finally on sabbatical to try and finish getting it set up but I've had to hire a young tech guru to help me project manage the tech issues, at its NOT cheap to pay for that help but I can't do it alone. Very disappointing how hard it is and the little front end support is mainly just telling me about its features but NOT what investment of time to learn and customize will actually take.

Hey Doug, Thanks for sharing your feedback, though I am so sorry to hear how frustrating the onboarding process has been for you. We spoke with our onboarding team, and they confirmed with the team at PNC that your issue has been escalated for a priority fix. - The Neon One Team
Our Non Profit was a Neon One customer for about five years. Their subscription automatically renewed, along with a price increase. Neon uses an opt-out renewal system with a specific written-notice window, and missing that window meant another full-year commitment. We never saw this notification and it does not recquire a signature or any proof that we received this message. Apparently we missed the 30 day response window by a few weeks and we exchanged several emails with multiple management personel asking Neon to reduce the commitment or allow a partial buyout, but Neon declined. We were forced to pay for 10 full months after submitting our cancelation in writing. We origianlly wanted to cancel because it is a do it yorself platform and the customer service is very bad.

We completely understand how frustrating it is to miss a cancellation window and face unexpected costs. While our annual renewal policies are outlined in our contracts to ensure consistent service, we sincerely regret that this experience left you feeling unsupported. We are always working to improve our customer support and communication, and we appreciate you sharing your perspective with us.
We just signed up for Neon One about a month ago, and after 4 weeks of training, we now realize that Neon One is not as dynamic as what was presented to us. Interesting that they have 4 weeks of training and do not offer a money back guarantee. You find out after the training that the product is inferior and can't do anything about it. Even after submitting a survey and an email to the person who previewed the product with us, letting them know of our disappointment in the product features, no one has offered us a solution or a refund for the remaining 11 months of contract. This is a clear indication that they do not stand behind their product or make any attempts to satisfy their customers. Stay away and do not purchase this CRM or you will regret it!
