The booking experience through MovingPlace was seamless. I input my origin and destination address, some move details, and was given a number of booking options. I liked the number of options that Movingplace included, along with reviews for each mover, and felt I was able to trust that I chose the right company. The site was easy to use and offered a number of additional moving-related services (such as packing) that I could include if I wanted to. The company I chose, Rigos, had some scheduling snafus, but the moving crew worked hard and fast and did a quality job. All of my items made it from point A to point B with no damage to either the inventory or homes. The best part of the experience was that the MovingPlace team followed up with me before, during and after my move to make sure it was going well. Their agents were very attentive.

Extremely disappointing experience. The movers arrived two hours late, and the “team” consisted of one man and one woman who were unable to move the heavy items we specifically hired professional movers to handle. My husband ended up doing much of the physical moving himself. The company then expected me to pay for today’s inadequate service and hire two additional movers—at my expense—to return tomorrow and finish the job. If a company accepts a moving job, it should send enough qualified, appropriately dressed workers to complete it safely and professionally. The female mover also arrived wearing a visibly see-through white bra, which was inappropriate for a professional moving job. We hired movers so that my husband would not have to perform the move himself. Instead, we received late, understaffed, and incapable service, followed by a demand that we pay even more to get the job completed. I would not recommend this company.

Overall no complaints, everyone was good, happy and efficient

Chris and company (Tropic Haul) not only moved our house into a POD but had the honor of moving us from the POD back to the house. Folks did an excellent job of getting things back where they belonged and did it in an expeditious manner. Beds back together, bureaus in the right place, and the washer and dryer right back where they belonged. Can't say enough good things about this crew. God forbid, if I ever move again, these are the folks I'll be calling.

Angel and his team did an amazing job. Professional and efficient.

They are good at answering any questions but sometimes were vague about the process. They are just a broker and normally move with Estes sure move so I’d just go straight through them instead of just using for a trailer. I had issues where people at the loading trailer said they’d put the partition up for me and then I believe they didn’t and all my stuff shifted and broke. Was then charged for the additional foot since everything moved and didn’t get any compensation for damages. I get it that it’s in your contract and what not but try and work with me a little and at least not charge the extra foot for that. Good luck to you all.
