No trust in Moon-Audio

I bought the new Mojo2 because I was so happy with the original Mojo. Unfortunately, after many years, the battery died, and I began using a different DAC/amp. After seeing the release of the new Mojo2 and some positive reviews, I decided to purchase it and unfortunately chose Moon Audio as the purchase site. After receiving the Mojo2, I realized there was a soft, audible hiss when connected to earphones and Sennheiser 800 headphones. So, I returned the device and requested a refund. Moon did not provide a refund and instead sent me another Mojo2 (different serial #, but one that was clearly used) and informed me that they had "fixed" the problem. Unfortunately, the hiss was still present with sensitive earphones (Campfire Audio) though diminished with the Sennheiser. I looked online and found others complaining about this issue with the Mojo2. I sent the device back again repeating my original request of a refund. After their "restocking fee" and mailing costs x 2, I'm now out $100. Terrible customer service and a rip-off. RESPONSE to Moon - Do NOT trust them Further proof of Moon being dishonest. I requested reimbursement the first time. Their response was that they “fixed” the issue and sent me another unit that I did NOT request. The “new” unit was missing internal bags that were present in the initial box. Maybe Mojo has quality control issues. Unlike Sweetwater and Crutchfield, Moon does not attempt to deliver good quality customer service. Buy your HiFi equipment at a reputable dealer. Moon cannot be trusted.

Hi Mark, we sent you a NEW in box unit direct from our stock here we received from the US distributor with the seal in tact. Chord Electronics doesn't always include the internal bag on the USB cable inside the package. We created an RMA for you with the US distributor, they could not find an issue with the unit you sent them so we shipped you a new replacement unit per your reply. This is a compatibility issue between your IEMs and the Mojo 2, so this is not an issue that we, as the dealer/reseller, can resolve on our end. Thus, a restocking fee applies to the order. If you opted for a store credit, there would be no restocking fee on the order. Please see all our return policies here: https://www.moon-audio.com/pages/returns I just checked our ticketing system and it confirmed you wished for us to send you a replacement unit instead of a refund. I'm sorry if there was any miscommunication on this, we strive our very best to provide the best customer service we can each day to support our customers. Thank you. Moon Audio Support
