MidFirst BankReviews of midfirst.com

I just tried to call and ask a question and couldn’t be verified because I don’t remember the personal name of the banker that opened my bank account like 5 FREAKING years ago!! WTF!!??! 🤬 I cannot wait to close this bank account and be done with them!

This is pure scam. They require VAT in normal bank transfers. Even email confirmation costs 150 €. Pure scam.

The worst experience i habe ever had with bank....I am a 56 year old businessman with 10+ bank accounts....I have never dealt with the incompetency of mid first bank....

My mortgage was bought by midfirst. When we were going through difficulties, they claimed to have assistance programs...This was a lie! They offered to adjust our mortgage by putting the 2 missed payments on the back end and double our interest rate in the process. We ended up doing a 3 month deal which added the outstanding balance to the monthly regular payment..stating they would proceed with foreclosure if not met..fourtunately i know how to hustle..but how is this assistance? Also note ee have substantial equity..theyare all too happy to steal ones home and sell it to a greedy billionaire at half the price. So..getting the loan up to speed from there to now..I needed to change the date of auto pay...as my expenses are crazy this month...mind you...still paying. Just changing the day. On the website it says I can change the date but it needs to be within 3 days of payment...so it being four days before the date I scheduled , obviously I am within the time to reschedule my auto payment...I call in they told me to log in and cancell the payment..I do this and a pop up says I cannot do it as my payment is being lrocessed..FOUR days before my scheduled payment!!! A few times I saw it being paid on the first well before my scheduled date...They lied and said no we have never done that... I then supplied my bank receipts..All the supervisor could say was I understand your frustration...( not even acknowledging their SUS ways. I do believe they are committing fraud and got caught.. as their reason I could not change the date was the payment 4 days before my scheduled withdraw was in process! Excuse me... it should be taken out on my scheduled date not 5 dsys before... They said I can stop payment..which cost me 30 dollars and who knows what they are going to charge me. Basically...They are scamming in the open without excuse or apology...however...I will be contacting an attorney to fully understand my consumer banking rights. They bought our mortgage...during covid...when we had the house in foreberance..pribably hoping we would derault...but nope..not gonna happen. Our interest is way below current market and they have tried every trick to get us up to a 7% interest rate! They are shrewd, greedy, fraudulent, not concered at all with humanity, only in the aquisition of property and homes at the expense of American Family welfare...kind of like the current administration in DC If you have other options run don't walk from this bank...as soon as interest rates fall i am 86ing this bank... Don't get a mortgage here...this is a ruthless fraudulent bank...like Wells Fargo... I would bet on Kalshi this out fit is going down soon!

Vio Bank (a division of MidFirst Bank) has one of the most unreliable online account application systems I’ve ever dealt with. My wife and I attempted to open a joint High Yield Online Savings account three separate times over several days. Each attempt failed at the exact same point—immediately after completing the identity verification questions. We unlocked all credit reports, used the browser Vio specifically recommended, and followed every instruction their staff provided. The system still failed every time. I contacted support multiple times. One representative told me there was nothing they could do because they have no ability to manually verify identity or override the system. A MidFirst manager later admitted there had been a network issue on their end, but even then, there was no alternative application method, no manual review process, and no escalation path that actually resolves anything. The only advice was to “wait 24 hours and try again,” which we did—only to have the application fail a third time. The most disappointing part is that Vio/MidFirst offers an online‑only product with no fallback process when their system malfunctions. If their automated identity verification fails, you simply cannot open an account, and customer service has no tools to help. After three failed attempts and multiple calls, we moved on to another institution. Prospective customers should be aware that if Vio’s system glitches—and based on our experience, it does—you may have no way to open an account at all.

The sign up bonus is nice and the benefits are okay. I like security but dude, there's so many steps to just log in and out and do stuff within the app. Overall, it's okay

The worst bank ever. I lost access to my account due to wrong password- they disabled my account. I can’t call to the support cause I am abroad with no connection. There is no other option to get access to the account. Do not recommend

Love this bank. Lets see what the future holds
