The mayy publisherReviews of merriampublishers.com

Just to tell everyone, one thing that, these guys are running merriam publisher from somewhere in india, they disguise themselves as americans and convince people in paying them thousands of dollars in return of no service! believe me NO SERVICE, they charge me $6400 for my memoir writing and didn't deliver me my memoir yet, its been 3 and half months today when i pay them and i didn't get my book yet! beware of this disgusting MERRIAM PUBLISHERS!!

I am very satisfied with this service

Absolute Scam! this is the worst marketing agency i ever work with! they just charge the money and don't deliver anything and if you ask they just tell you that your work is on its way to finalisation but that never happens. BEWARE OF THEM AND DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR HARD EARN MONEY!

I hired Merriam to help with my novel. They did not fulfill that part. However, They then said it was $700 to copyright my book. Which I found out was way overpriced. After that, I found out they had lied to me on several occasions, so I stopped doing business with them and hired another publisher. Since they were not copyrighting my book, I repeatedly asked for my $700 back. I was honest on why I was firing them. They knew. That was months ago, and they are still refusing to send me my money back. They even told me they had copyrighted it and could send me proof, but they never did because they didn't copyright the book. I want my money back, and I told them I would report them to ICE because I know they are illegals, and right now, I believe they are running a scam. I am going to contact ICE again and find out where we stand here.

I would steer clear this company. I paid them $2000 to edit and market my book. The result was me having to edit the whole thing myself after they published it with 115 grammatical errors. They never "aggressively" marketed it for the 4 months like we agreed to. I basically got a cover for my money, and it put on Amazon with almost no sales. While they did always answer my emails and calls, the editing service was non existent without me checking every time they sent it back to me and sending it back countless times to correct again. It still got published with one error I found. You're better off doing it all yourself and saving your money.

If I could give this company 0 stars, I absolutely would! I feel like I was scammed. First, I am due a refund of almost $500 that I have not been given, though they told me 3+ weeks ago that they were going to refund me. They keep making up excuses as to why it has not come through and I have had it! This company was supposed to edit my manuscript, do a final proof read, do my book cover, and help me to get it into the market. The ONLY thing that was accomplished out of that was my book cover. The manuscript that was supposed to take 3 months took 7 months!!!! My final document NEVER could get formatted correctly as they are working on MS word and not an actual book formatting software! The manuscript that had supposedly been edited and proofread had over 150 grammatical errors in it when I got it back still! After months of going back and forth with them, they would return my file with almost no edits to it! Finally after several months and being very late, holding up other elements of my business, I pulled the plug, asked for a refund, and went to another company that did an AMAZING job on my final edits and formatting! The book was in the market in no time! These people are serious amateurs! DO NOT work with them! You will regret it! Not only can they not edit, they also can't do even basic formatting! I am so glad that I went with another company to finally get my book in the market!

Stay away Anyone publishing a first book - do some research and find another company. Very difficult to communicate with, offered little help. Your book needs to be 100% ready - no advisory offered. Be prepared to pay more with each call. For example, a copyright in the US costs $65. They charged $600 for US and a "Global" copyright which does not exist. Instead of using my email for the US Copyright, they used the email of another company who wanted more money from me - my book was not copyrighted. I am still trying to clean up this mess.
