Deserves 0 stars. Being used by my daughter's primary school. Endless repetitive questions which offer no challenge or stretch. It's clearly marketed as making marking easier for teachers but when a child gets 100% it tells them nothing about whether they've actually mastered a topic, only whether they can repeat a pattern 40 times in a row! The questions have no depth. The platform itself and bookwork check is inaccessible and unusable. A total waste of time to copy answers. It's an important skill to show working but most questions require none yet still have to be copied out to satisfy the cheating check. Questions and answers are on different screens so everything requires more clicks than it should. As someone who has worked in the education space I am appalled at how many schools have bought this awful platform and seemingly asked for no evidence of the efficacy. This is how to turn children off learning maths.

When i say I wish i could rate this frustrating website 0 stars I am NOT joking. Every week is another mental breakdown and another 6 hours of crying in my basement. Somebody please send this useless website to Vietnam on a search to retrieve my sanity, my innocence and my will to ever look at my school laptop again. And by the way, NO ONE likes those bookwork checks you oily rats who run this website decided to add. Awful. Do not recommend. Do not enter this website unless you have 0% self respect for youreslf. P.S i flagged some of the freak shows who gave this website 5 star reviews.

I used to see older kids doing Sparx and thinking nothing of it. Now I do it myself, and I can relate to all the haters. I saw YouTubers such as SnipeSnap complain, and frankly, they were right. For starters, the 100% requirement is just too high of an expectation and should be bumped down to 80 or even 90 would suffice. And then, the bookwork checks are quite tedious, although "it is unique, the same way that pineapple on pizza is unique", says SnipeSnap. It is just unnecessary and there are many loopholes. And my least favourite part, me and my best friend got a reflection (detention) for not completing homework on time, which was little to nothing. In conclusion, with all due respect, I think that Sparx Maths needs improvement ASAP and to learn from its predecessor, Hegarty Maths

I honestly don't know why schools do this. If they knew what sort of addictive drug they were handing out, god knows what would happen. In primary school i was one of the best at maths. Not anymore. I even liked it. Not anymore. Today i had a mental breakdown on a single question. A SINGLE QUESTION. And to any year 7s reading this, trust me, you're in for a ride. (P. S. Thank god they removed XP boost because my parents forced me to do it and it was worse. Please tell me thats relatable)

sparx maths may have started a ripple effect of good changes to come with the new feature, Flash cards. This could be a sign that they may be implementing more tools for faster and easier learning (Quality of life features). the flash cards actually help you remember things and really speed up the process of actually completing your homework. It's not perfect, no homework platform ever will be in the eyes of a student, but if we keep getting small and useful features like this, sparx will have a bright future.
