Alex Southmayd was a great tutor. I really enjoyed my time in the class. Alex was very positive and motivative, guided me in all the areas where I needed more help. He always responded in a timely manner even after our course. The strategies he taught helped me to improve my reading skills. I would highly recommend any one taking the course with him. It is really worth taking the class.

Final GRE score of 169 V & 166 Q! I took the Monday night Spring GRE class with Cat Powell. I found her to be incredibly thoughtful, positive, supportive, and able to find multiple ways to explain difficult topics. I started out at 159V & 157Q, and she helped em grow the entire way. Thanks Cat!

I first took a GMAT group course which was good overall, but after doing all the assigned problem sets and countless practice tests, I was still scoring in the low 500s 3-4 months since I first started studying. In hindsight, I would recommend that prospective students brush up on foundational math concepts before signing up for the course, as the course does not have much time to go over them. Also take your MPrep practice test scores with a grain of salt as they were inflated compared to my Official GMAT practice test scores. I then signed up for private tutoring sessions with MPrep, thinking that some targeted one-on-one quant guidance would be worthwhile. However, I was disappointed by the tutoring service considering the amount of money that I was spending. The tutor was great as a person, but quite unresponsive over email and didn't set a targeted lesson plan and strategy of how exactly to improve my score. Ultimately I stopped the sessions and resorted to another test prep plan that made a greater difference in helping me surpass the 600 mark.

Avi was incredibly fast at understanding where my thinking was lacking and how I could apply tricks to overcome my shortfalls. By teaching me some tips and tricks for both the Quant and Verbal sections, I was able to increase my score from a 580 to a 640 in less than 4 weeks. If you want a quick increase Manhattan Prep private tutoring is amazing and if you just need a few tutoring hours they can help you set up your study schedule so you are not wasting your time on questions that rarely appear on the actual test. The wealth of knowledge that Avi and the rest of his team have is incredibly valuable and they give you the confidence to perform very well on the test day. I was able to get into both Canada's top MBA programs thanks to Avi's help. Also, Avi does not baby his students so you will be held accountable while getting tons of constructive feedback and he will know if you don't complete your homework between sessions. This helped me really get the most of the 10 hours we had together, HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I thought that the structure of the in-person course was really good. I really liked the layout of the weekly homework assignments and I thought they were in a clear and easy-to-follow format. However, I didn't find the actual in-person class to be THAT helpful considering how much I was paying for it. We often just did a lot of practice problems in class and then BRIEFLY discussed the solutions and people's thought processes on them. While this was somewhat helpful, I thought this was something I could have easily done on my own time. This had nothing to do with the professor because he was great, but my personal opinion is that the in-person class isn't worth the money.

Had a wonderful experience. Will need to continue to study and put more time in, but a great foundation and effort.

Very thorough. Provide you with ample material and strategies to succeed on the GMAT. It is really up to you how you do with all the material you are given. I would definitely recommend!
