MadisonseatingReviews of madisonseating.com

They asked me to take another item than what I ordered. Agreed to change (was in color of seat). What I received did not have a standard feature, hydraulics are leaky so chair drops on occassion Back tilt does not work They refuse to provide return They don't answer their phones They are a scam

Selling old used products pretending to be open boxes. For their lack of packaging, they put the damage during delivery to the consumer's responsibility and told the consumer to pay for the return shipping. I emailed their customer service team repeatedly, and they said, verbatim," We are not a shipping company," as to why the buyer was responsible for the shipping of a defective product.

Madison Seating is now harassing me about returning a chair. When they sent me a replacement chair, they told me to keep it free of charge as the seat was not level and wobbled. The replacement chair looked good at first, then randomly dropped in height. At first I was just going to have Madison replace the cylinder but with two Steelcase chairs having failed. I decided to return it for a full refund. After much back-and-forth with customer service, they sent me a return label, and I returned the chair but never received a refund. I then disputed the charges with my Credit Card company, which was decided in my favor the day they started their harassment. Yesterday, Madison Seating emailed me to ask for the first chair back, accused me of stealing, and threatened legal action. They don't have a case, as I have the email telling me to keep the first chair, which was donated to Goodwill. Don't do business with this company; the chairs are not open-box and have barely been refurbished. Below is the email that Madison Seating sent me. Btw, see my previous review as MI on TrustPilot ======================================== Hi Mike Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention! Since Customer Service is our #1 priority, in order to mitigate any further inconvenience to you we would like to offer you the following resolve. Instead of having you repackage the chair and wait for it to come back to us for a replacement, we would like to simply send you a new chair (and you can keep this item free of charge). All we ask in return is for you to write a positive review on Trustpilot.com about our company. Please advise if this is an acceptable resolution to the matter. Annie Customer Service ________________________________________ Ticket ID: IAM-310-10719 ======================================== I wrote a favorable review to receive the replacement. See my prior reviews. If it is free of charge, I can do what I wish with the defective chair; I gave it to Goodwill.

I wrote a review about 3 weeks ago about a chair I had a problem with and how customer service handled it. However, I'm sorry to say that the new chair they sent me is now dropping. When I reported it, they sent me a video of how to adjust the set screw, which I did. Same results. At this point, I asked for a refund, and they insisted that I return both chairs in original packing. The first chair I donated to Goodwill because they told me to keep it. After three weeks I don't have the original packing materials for the second chair I asked them to send me a box and return label which they refused. They say this is an open-box item - it is not! Stay away. Don't purchase from them. At this point, I'm disputing the charge on my credit card. BTW, this is my second review in which I give them a 4 rating, but it was because they asked me to before they would send me a replacement chair. The email text: Thank you for accepting our courtesy offer! Simply respond back to this email once the review has been posted and our shipping department will provide you with a replacement tracking number for the new chair. Warm regards, The Team at Madisonseating.com

They sell AMIA chairs listed as open box - new, on eBay. - The chairs are 10+ years old, used, damaged, spray painted covered in new fabric. At best it is refurbished like a desperate crack head would do. AVOID THIS COMPANY Update: Now they are contacting me through this site and trying to get this review removed by lying to TrustPilot. - Madisonseating wrote: "You reviewed Madisonseating, who believe your review actually belongs to another business." I even sent them the order #. This company is pure slime.

Beware stay away. They paint over with cheap paint to try to make it seem like the chair was open box, but it was not. Just Google the company name and look through the countless Reddit threads that talk about how this company does things unethically.. if you were looking for a chair that is in terrible condition, and will arrive with paint shipping and fabric thinning then this is the company to buy from. it’s no mistake that they have hundreds and plenty of negative reviews regarding how they run their business when it comes to customer service and the product they provide

If they want to try and lie in response to my last review (6 days ago) I can follow up. I legit have screenshots saved of them telling me to write a positive review on this website BEFORE they even tried to fix / solve the issue of THEM sending me a defective chair. It was also not due to carrier damage the box was completely fine - so fine that I reused the box to return their fraudulent item. This "Business" is full of crap. Also I went through Ebay specifically so if there was a problem, I could return through Ebay. What is funny is MadisonSeating tried to make me cancel my return on Ebay - which if you do this you can NEVER return the product again on the site. I saw right through this BS.

I purchased a Herman Miller for over $500. When I received it, a part was broken so the chair couldn't recline. I asked them to repair it (I have a 10 year warranty on it) and I was told I would need to pay both a $495 shipping fee + a $95 restocking fee. I emailed their customer service team repeatedly, and they said, verbatim," We are not a shipping company," as to why the buyer was responsible for the shipping of a defective product.
