Super easy, open and go curriculum to teach my kids. I have some Spanish background (school and I have some family members who are fluent--my mom and grandfather- not inside our house) so I didn't need help with pronunciation but I DO still need help with proper grammar. It's nice to be able to give directions to my kids in Spanish without fumbling around in my brain and worrying about if I'm giving them a poor example. We worked through the preschool binder and most of level 1 with my now 5 year old. He really enjoys the songs and we always print out the extra activities and quizzes which keep him feeling accomplished 🤪 my now 8 and 11 year old worked through levels 1 and 2. Progress goes in bursts with them because of school and activities but they still retain all they have learned so far and I am really pleased. My 11 year old actually reads to me in Spanish and his pronunciation needs only a few corrections here and there. My oldest (now 13) who has sat through probably 10 lessons at most but listens to all the songs and overhears the boys lessons proudly tells me how far ahead she is than her classmates at school. We keep the flashcards to play memory games, bingo, etc for quick and fun reviews. And I allllllways check out tons of their book recommendations from the library and look up many more on my own! Highly, highly recommend! As an added bonus the company is super responsive and kind! Love them

My family has had a positive experience with Llamitas Spanish. We look forward to the lessons we complete every week! We started with level 1 and are continuing through to level 3. What I love about it is that it is not just conversational Spanish but academic. The units are thematic and everything is included online: sound clips booklets, stories, songs, and extension activities. It has everything that I am looking for in a language program. An added bonus, for me (I am in Southern California), is that I am supporting a local business!

We have enjoyed llamitas so much! We are a bilingual household. My son started at level one and is starting level 4 this year. My daughter is ready to start level 1 this year and is so excited! We have seen their language grow, they communicate and read so beautifully in Spanish. We look forward to more years with llamitas.

We have used Llamitas for over 2 years now. We are getting ready to begin year 3. We just completed level 2 for my 8-year-old and we completed level 3 for my 10-year-old. I have very limited Spanish experience myself but it has been the curriculum that we have been able to stay the most consistent with. I appreciate the beautiful illustrations and the variety of topics. Previously we used several curriculums that continued to review the same topics. Some curriculums were too screen heavy while other curriculums required more preparation on the parent. I find that we are the most successful if I take 2 to 3 minutes to look over the material ahead of time just to make sure I know what we are doing. I wish some of the instructions were recorded because the instructions are given in Spanish, but they can be a little difficult to understand without relying completely on the English instructions. I think it helps the parent to have at least some minimal background in Spanish to be able to use this curriculum. I also find that we do not cover a certain lesson in one sitting. We may divide it up or cover more material depending on our attention span. We purchased the printed workbooks and I wish they were a little less expensive but yearly discounts help.

We absolutely love Llamitas! As a bilingual family (I’m from the U.S. and my husband is Colombian), we’ve been using the “one parent, one language” approach with our daughter since she was born. She’s now 7 and homeschooled, and we’ve completed Levels 1 and 2 over the past two years. We recently ordered Level 3, and we continue to be impressed. The program is comprehensive, easy to follow, beautifully designed, and genuinely fun for our daughter. It has made learning Spanish engaging and natural for our family. Songs are catchy too and we love that art is also incorporated! We highly recommend Llamitas to other bilingual families!

This is THE BEST curriculum! One of the main reasons I wanted to homeschool was to give an immersive bilingual education and this curriculum has been exactly what I was looking for when I started out! We have completed levels 1-3 with my 8 year old daughter. This next year my second daughter will be starting Nivel 1! Every page is absolutely beautiful and fun to do together. My daughter loves all the checkboxes when she’s completed a part of the lesson! I love how it covers so much from literacy, reading, math, science, music, art, culture, and more all sprinkled into beautiful, approachable lessons. I also appreciate the authentic speaker accompaniment in the speaking activities, songs and actual cultural legends. It is so so amazing! It’s my hope that they will keep writing levels so we can take it all the way to graduation… fingers crossed! ¡Muchisimas gracias a Señora Corrie y todos de Llamitas por este regalo!

We love Llamitas Spanish for homeschooling. My daughter and I are both bilingual. We just started Level 2. So far we are getting through the lessons with ease yet I still feel like it is robust enough for us and introduces new Spanish grammar to her. It us fun! We love the songs and cultural immersion. We love that math is included. My daughter always asks for more when she is done with her lesson. I've already bought Level 3! An idea we would love would be an optional practice workbook with more exercises to practice new concepts!
