We believe you have confused us with another company called "The Life Hack Library." We know this because we receive several complaints a day exactly like yours (book charge followed by an unwanted subscription) from their customers. We think this is a unique situation, and in light of your comments, we'll look into it. You may have noticed that there are many credible websites without comments, even on the general Internet. On the one hand, a comment could be helpful, but on the other, it might degrade the website's quality. Readers may be misled or confused by it if it contains inaccurate or unconfirmed facts. Sometimes some groups that are not typical of the audience as a whole can use the comments section as an echo chamber. Hi Ann, We appreciate your feedback. I want to let others who are reading know a bit more about the situation, which was clearly outlines from our customer service rep. We have never offered a 60 day refund period, only 30 and 20 days grace period. Below is our exact correspondence from our team member, and as you can see, is not an issue with customer service. We hope you reconsider your 1 star review as we are a small team and take pride in our customer interactions. Please feel free to email me directly at allyson (at) stepcase.com with any further questions! "I'm really sorry to hear that the course wasn't up to your expectations. Unfortunately, our refund period is within 30 days of enrollment and our course software has indicated that this period has already passed on your account. Please let me explain the situation and why we cannot offer you a refund. For our online course, we use a service called Teachable to manage and host our course software and content. This includes using Teachable's payment gateway services which is the one we provide to students during the enrollment process. Teachable's policy states that schools (eg. Lifehack) using Teachable's payment gateways must adhere to a refund policy and honor all refund requests made within that time. The refund policy is a 30-day refund window, calculated from the date of purchase. According to the payment gateway records, the transaction date was 23 June 2020. We received your refund request today on 27 July 2020. Unfortunately, your request was made after the 30-day refund period. Teachable automatically processes payments and locks refunds after the refund period is over (We have no control over this process). This means that the platform will not allow us to issue any refunds for purchases made on 23 June 2020 anymore. I hope this helps to clarify the situation!" Thanks for your consideration!
