Very disappointing experience
Very disappointing experience – unexpected credit check I found the mortgage adviser online and filled in a form requesting a call. Darren Spragg contacted me, took all my information and told me he would call me back within a few days. He never called back and I heard absolutely nothing from him. What is even more disappointing is that when I later checked my credit report, I noticed that a mortgage-related credit search had been carried out. I was only expecting an initial conversation with an adviser and was not expecting my credit file to be searched. A complete waste of my time, and I am now left concerned about why a credit check was carried out and whether it was properly authorised. Very poor communication and a very disappointing experience. I would expect an explanation regarding the credit search.

Good Afternoon We're sorry to hear about this experience. Finding an unexpected credit search on your file is understandably worrying. However, it looks like this review may have been left for a different company. We don't offer mortgages or mortgage advice, and we have no record of anyone named Darren Spragg on our team or of an enquiry from you. We'd kindly ask that you remove this review so you can post it for the correct firm. Your credit report should show the name of the company that ran the search, so you can contact them directly for an explanation. If you didn't authorize it, you can also raise a dispute with the credit reference agency. We hope you get this resolved quickly. — The Legacy Financial Team
