Assembly Nightmare This dog bed takes two people and special tools to assemble because it requires tension be maintained in multiple directions at once. The company needs to sell this item preassembled.

Hi Dennis, Thanks for taking the time to write your review. Our beds should be fairly simple to assemble and typically take about 10 - 15 minutes with a Phillips head screwdriver and a wrench. Hello I have 5 of the original type dog beds they are probably 15-20 years old. When in the past I have had to order the older replacement bed cover, the recent ones just don’t fit correctly I have to drill new holes to make bed cover fit. I have couple of the newer style beds and the replacement covers are no problem to replace. When I did have a problem with the older style and I called received very rude response to my complaint.when I called they said it was past my purchase date I buy extras so I have them when needed, I didn’t know there was a problem until I needed it. Hi Rodney, I apologize for the experience you had with us recently. I checked on your order history and it looks like the replacement fabrics you needed are for a bed style that we have not made in years and I believe the customer service rep you spoke with did not understand that will still support replacement fabrics for that bed style. Very difficult to put together (2 hours of frustration), premium price, and my dog will have nothing to do with it. Now the bed sits in the basement taking up space. Big disappointment.

I'm so sorry to hear that! Sometimes taking the legs completely off the bed helps dogs who are a little tentative get used to the elevated design. I love Kuranda beds but the workmanship is horrible! Holes did not line up correctly with brackets. One hole still had the center cut out part stuck to it and we had to finish punching it through. Another hole was too small and the screw would not go through even with a high powered drill. I have bought Kurandas before but have never had such poor craftsmanship in the products!
