If I could rate them zero I would!!! They told me on the phone the engine would fit my car and it did not. They would not replace it or give me my money back and told me “oh well you knew what you were buying” I will never buy from the again!!!

The transmission I received was damaged in shipping, the pallet was broken and the back of the transmission has deep scratches on it. Also, the transmission is filthy it has dirt and debris inside the transmission. The solenoids are broken and the metal clutch switch is completely broken. I also smelled the fluid and it smells burnt. I am in shock. There is also a hole in the bottom of the transmission case. Very disappointed!!

Hello, Thanks for reaching out, this engine is completely compatible for your application. Here is our email response word for word "Hello, We sell and warranty only the block and head and their internal performance. We see here some damage to the accessories, but those are only included as free gifts and were never made to be used in the US market. Our customer obligation and general terms and conditions can be found in our warranty section here: https://jdmenginezone.com/pages/wrc We suggest you install the engine" As you can see we were much more helpful over email than original implied in your original review. We still suggest you install the engine as it is still an ej253 sohc same as yours. Whatever accessories have to be switched should since our engine comes from Japan and they were never made to be used in the US market. This included the oil pan and pick up. Thanks again :)
They knowingly sold us the incorrect motor. When we came back and requested to return the incorrect motor for the right one and they say said no. We don"t our money back just the right motor for the car. Do not do business with this company under any circumstances. They are scam artists. Keith Hutchings 175 Orleans Road North Chatham Ma. 02650

Don't ever buy anything from this company. They completely ripped me off and sold me an engine with hundreds of thousands of miles on it and it had been taken apart before. The timing cover had been removed because it had massive amounts of silicone or someone reinstalled it. They didn't even bother to put a cover on the throttle body and the whole engine is covered with oil and mud. I removed the oil cap and it looks like the bottom of the Mississippi River inside the timing cover and the inside of the oil cap. I filed a claim with my credit card company and now it's sitting in my side yard waiting for them to pick it up. If not it's going to the scrap yard. Complete waste of time. Then somehow someone got hold of my credit card and bought a bunch of items from Dick's sporting goods.

Hello, this item was already picked up. The chargeback was filed after the item was scheduled for pick up but prior it actually being picked up. We do not understand why this was done. Now the chargeback process will take up to two months.
Ordered and motor online, wenr to pick it up and was brought an motor hanging upside down with broken parts. Opened the oil cap and saw burnt old oil indicating an high mileage motor. Asked for another motor and one of the gentleman threw a fit. Before arriving i was told there were multiple motors in stock they didnt even make an attempt to look for an intact replacement just immediately wanted to apply an refund. No attempts were made to make to satisfy an sale.

Hello, Thanks for your review. You did not like the engine you were shown. We understood and calmly explained that the engine we were showing you was the cleanest one we have. Since you did not want it we offered you a full refund which has been processed on our end. Please understand these engines are used and will show wear and tear. You explained you got three used engines before from other retailers and blew them all up, so you are looking for something more reliable. Maybe we can suggest a brand new crate engine from HONDA? In the meantime as we stated in person, we appreciated you stopping by and sorry it did not work out. Please reach to us for your JDM needs in the future :)
After waiting a month for the engine I paid for I called JDM only to find out they never even had the motor they claimed to have and that they were still trying to find me one so I requested my money back which I still have not received. This seems like a big money scam

Hello, we are sorry for the delay in your order. It has been cancelled, and you have received a full refund
These fraudsters sold me a trashed engine. The timing chain was so slack it was almost falling off the gears, and cylinder 2 had no compression and was misfiring at idle. Absolute garbage. Would not trust this company ever again. I changed my review from 3 stars to 1 star after discovering that the misfire at idle was due to low compression in one of the cylinders. After eliminating spark plug, coil, and fuel injector as possible culprits, a compression test showed only 60 psi on #2. It seems they just throw a random engine in a crate and send it to you, and it's sheer luck whether it works or not. Now they're refusing to make good. I have documentation proving the defects from earlier than 30 days in, and they still refused to let me file a warranty claim. No big surprise that half the reviews of this company are unfavorable.

Hello, we have requested documentation of a compression test being performed and you have refused stating that we should take your word for it. Unfortunately, that is not how it works and we do need evidence to submit any warranty claim. Our entire and very comprehensive warranty policy can be reviewed here: https://jdmenginezone.com/pages/wrc
