Thank you Steve for speaking with me via email about your experience with our company. You are correct, and while anyone can get a tax resolution on their own, many prefer to pay experts in the field to do it for them instead of dealing with the IRS directly. Plus, most of the time professionals like our Tax Attorneys, Enrolled Agents and CPA's will get a better result than a taxpayer dealing with their issues on their own. We are here if you have any questions as you navigate through the process on your own.

Unfortunately, people are allowed to say whatever they want, which often times isn't the truth. He is correct, we charged him $2,800 to file 6 tax returns and get him into an installment agreement. When it came time to enter into the installment agreement this client decided that he didn't agree with what the IRS was offering him. He stalled for many months, and then we had to complete another tax return since there was such a delay. The clients phone number was disconnected, and he refused to respond to our emails with the info we needed to complete the newest tax return. At no time ever, did we say we wanted $4,000. We asked for $400 more to do the additional tax return. We continued for over a year to try and reach the client and then had to close his account due to him not responding back to us. I, as the owner, tried to reach out via phone, text and email for the last week after getting this review, and still the client won't respond back to me. I offered my assistance in helping, but never heard back. There needs to be some accountability with this client, but he refuses to even help himself at this point.

Mr. Bertling owns his own law firm, Bertling Law Group in Santa Barbara, CA. He contacted our firm requesting help with his back taxes. We quoted him a flat fee. He was complaining about money and really needed our help, so our company offered to accept $50 payments each month through April, and according to Mr. Bertling, at that point he was going to be completing some cases and would like to pay his remaining fee in full. Mr. Bertling is the one who said he would like to pay the fee in full in May. With over 20,000 clients we have successfully helped, our company has NEVER, not one time, required any client to pay their fee in full. We brought this case on in November 2019 and have worked with the IRS diligently ever since. He has only paid $750 of a $4800 fee. We contacted him asking if he was able to pay the fee in full, as he requested us to do, or at a minimum increase his monthly payments to our firm. Mr. Bertling then became extremely unreasonable and threatened to bad mouth our firm on the internet. To make things worse, management and the owner tried multiple times to reach out and communicate with him, but Mr. Bertling chose to ignore our calls and emails. He is lying about receiving daily emails, as this only happened at the end when we were trying to communicate with him. Unfortunately, we can't afford to put hours of work in on a case and not be paid, as he should understand being an attorney. I hope anyone reading this review can realize that our company did everything in our contract, and the only person who violated our agreement was Mr. Bertling.
