SCAM!!! Avoid working or seeking tutoring through this company. Payments are repeatedly delayed, with “payment processor” issues used as recurring explanations, including an entire month of unpaid work. Communication is extremely disorganized, with scheduling changes often not communicated in advance. Concerns regarding teaching are also raised only after payment issues are questioned. Overall, an unreliable and poorly managed company.

Much like other tutors who have worked for this company, I was conned out of $2,000 of unpaid wages because they encouraged me to keep working and that I was “doing great” with the students, only to then magically have complaints against me when I became proactive about asking for payment. Do not solicit services from this company. Do not work for this company. The two owners, Souvik and Zach, literally bragged to me about the amount of money they were making from their numerous sham companies when just days prior they cried about how hard it was to pay their tutors. “Think of the students and the other tutors” they said. There is also no vetting process for tutors. Thank goodness they seem to attract good-hearted people, because they did not perform any type of background check on me or even bother to write me a contract in the two months I worked for them. God knows if I was a legitimately malicious party, since they are completely negligent.

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. I worked 32 hours over three weeks and was never paid the $840 I earned. As soon as I started seriously asking for my payment, they ghosted me. They tell you that tutors are paid every two weeks, but that your first paycheck comes after three weeks. That sounds reasonable when you’re starting, so you keep working and teaching lessons while waiting for that first check. In my case, that check never came. And I am NOT the only person this has happened to. I have spoken with other tutors and recruiters who say they also worked for this company and were not paid. Don’t be fooled by the positive reviews from students. They have good tutors, and I genuinely cared about my students and enjoyed teaching them. The parents are paying significant amounts for tutoring, yet I completed 32 hours of work and received $0. Based on my experience and what I’ve learned from other former workers, I believe this is a scheme designed to get people to work for weeks before realizing they aren’t going to be paid. They conned me out of $840. Do not fall for it.

This reviewer is a terminated former employee, not a client. Employee reviews violate Trustpilot's conflict-of-interest policy. Secondly, this tutor was hired tentatively and within the first 2 weeks alone, she received multiple complaints from students and we observed that she was not giving adequate teaching on lessons. Nonetheless, we told her she would receive payment once we're back from travels 8/31. In the meantime, she elected to spam call the management team nonstop, call the CEO's all day long, even though we told her we're out of country until 8/31. The student complaints and the continual unprofessional harassment about payment even she was given firm notice on when she would receive it led us to terminating this employee. This platform is for customer reviews, not for terminated employees. This review will get taken down shortly but in the meantime, we would not recommend hiring Ysabella Cordoba for any form of employment. She will receive student complaints, avoid fixing her poor performance, and then harrass the whole team about payment despite knowing when payment is coming.
