HyGuru USMLE PrepReviews of hyguru.com

The HY topic discussion in each system and the ques solving tricks are the game changer and definitely improved my score during the dedicated phase of my preparation

First and foremost, Dr. Damania is a wonderful and caring man. Attentive and absolutely a stellar teacher. His Hyguru course is reflective of that as the Pass/Fail course was detail-oriented and focused on formulating a test-taking strategy. Having that testing strategy helped sediment a solid understanding on how to approach questions. His power to synthesize the material and intertwine it in a layered manner was extremely powerful. He made studying for Step 1 palatable and dare I say, enjoyable. I hope he does a course for Step 2 as well! Highly highly recommended!

I started using Pass/Fail course during my revision period. I found it really helpful especially with Biochemistry and Immunology. The course itself is divided into Physio,Pathology,Micro and Phram for systems which is really helpful. Dr. Damania explained everything in a concise way which helped me remember concepts easily. I am thankful for his Pass/Fail course.

Words cannot explain how grateful I am to have had HYGURU during my comprehensive exam and STEP 1 prep! Rahul teaches only the clinically relevant information and he genuinely cares for each and every one. His top NBME concepts playlist on YT helped me crush my comp with ease so I knew that during my dedicated STEP 1 prep, his pass/fail course was an absolute must! He makes the toughest concepts so easy to learn and even more, he makes them FUN to learn. There’s sooooo much material in medical school that often times, I just super overwhelmed. But Rahul broke up concepts in ways that helped me understand them (after unsuccessfully learning them from my own classroom experiences). I felt so prepared going I to my STEP 1 exam and I knew that it was thanks in large part to HYGURU. What I love the most is that Rahul replies to every single communication I’ve had with him. Whether it’s via email, IG, etc etc. he has always been ready to answer questions or just give advice. I can’t speak highly enough of this resource. I have recommended it to all of my friends and I’ve only heard great things about it after they’ve used it too. Thank you soo much again Rahul! Can’t wait to learn with you for STEP 2! 🙌🏽

Very informative lecture on Microbiology affecting the GI system. Helped with how to differentiate different diseases that look very similar, but only have one or two small differences.

Excellent Review Well presented

Dr. Damania made this program to help students succeed on Step 1 and beyond. He has a true passion to help others and loves to teach. I think his program is very unique in that it has numerous questions worked into the sessions that force you to process and apply the information you just learned. This technique helps you better understand the information and remember it in the long term. He also made sure to simplify and thoroughly explain concepts that are often taught in med school as "things you just need to memorize". I would highly recommend this program to anyone in their first 2 years of med school and anyone preparing for step 1. I've now passed step 1 and recently started rotations so I started going to his Step 2 sessions and find them very helpful as well! I would suggest following him on all social media platforms to stay in the loop about the free zoom tutoring sessions he hosts.

I found hyguru with only a few weeks left in my preparation, and it was life changing! I was using the same resources for months without seeing any significant jump in my self assessments. Dr. Rahul's approach didn't only give me a great understanding of NBME concepts, it also kept me energized. I don't know what I would have done if I didn't go through his pass/fail course. Definitely worth the time and money, couldn't recommend it enough. I will forever be grateful to the hyguru team.
