if i could give this sorry excuse of a bank a negative score I would they definitely rank below zero. The customer service is a joke. And it's a b grade bank built inside a residential hose. I should have known better but I deposited 5000 dollars into that account. Biggest mistake I ever made cause now they want to put a hold on my check for a week until they can figure it out. Trash scammer bank!!!

Again if negative stars were allowed. I have been with Huntington for nearly 2 decades. Use to be top tier customer service and direct answers. I went to an ATM close to my house no branch to deposit money I just pulled from another bank. The machine threw an error message and kept my money. I called immediately but customer service closes at 8pm it was 811pm so close to another 40 minutes to find a way to contact a person (credit card departnt open 24 hours fyi). Well , Von was very little help in pretty rude. I did not feel comfortable driving away from an ATM that took my $1000 WITH NO RECEIPT. VON DID NOT HELP THIS ISSUE. I called a bank manager the next day at a different branch because this was a standalone ATM. Jason seemed very nice and said that he would schedule four brinks to go out and do an audit. I asked if I could get a phone call back. He said yes. That was friday morning. It is now monday 4:53 pm. No , call back and the two times I have called the 800# no information could be given except dispute is open. I said , I know you guys can't tell me what time brinks is supposed to go out there. Can you at least let me know that it has been scheduled or if they have been out. If you're just waiting on the reports. I believe these are valid questions that any customer should be given the answers to. So now I have a bank manager avoiding me. And no information given to the 800# to pass along to it's customers. So 0 real customer service has been given because I am still up in the air , except a possible 7-10 business day resolution. And that's not even a 100% sure. I will be closing my 4 accounts. I can't believe huntington bank went from top notch customer service down to why am I even speaking to a person.

Wish negative stars were an option as they truly deserve 0 or less. Merged mortgage from Cadence been trying to payoff mortgage in full for three months but wires and even a check that was sent in magically have no record of being attempted or received by this bank with scammy practices. My accountant handles all major money matters so she has all the details and tracking of every attempt. Again this is three months that I’ve been trying to pay in full. I call customer service which is a joke, nobody knows anything and they give false information. I was told multiple times that I could go into a branch in person to pay off my mortgage. I called a few branches to verify this info and of course it’s not true. Corporate is just as unhelpful as they too lack knowledge of their own products. I then asked what’s the max payment I can make over the phone. Since you won’t accept the payoff how much can I pay right now. Nobody knows. WTH? Definitely wouldn’t recommend anyone use this bank by choice.

We had a commercial loan with the previous institution, Huntington Bank purchases the institution. Our commercial real estate balloon note came due 9-3-2026, I'd been in touch with Huntington since 2-2026 concerning a possible loan to pay off the balloon note and do some upgrades. The problem with their loan was the interest was 2 points higher than the competition, so I waited until the payoff was closer. Possibly the interest rate would be lower, they offered an extension which I agreed to over 30 days ago. Seems that they have a paperwork issue with the note? They keep telling me the documents are on the way. When I received an email that the balloon note payment was not received, I was assured by the loan officer that was a form letter they send out and no way affected the balance due, no fees etc. I'm still waiting for their "extension letter". I contacted the bank once again today and asked for a payoff and speak to a loan manager. The manager was not available and now I'm waiting for the payoff quote. I'm going to payoff the note and see our local bank for upgrade funding. BTW never a late payment since 2009 and excellent credit rating.

5 stars because they truly deserve it! They helped me set up my treasury and banking system for all my accounts in just one week. If it weren't for their amazing customer service, I wouldn't have been able to transition from CoAmerica after their merger with 5/3 Bank. That transition was quite a nightmare! If I had stayed with them, I wouldn't have been able to make payroll since they locked my accounts and I couldn't reach anyone at their customer service. I'm still locked out! I would give less than 1 star if possible. They locked my online account because I attempted to initiate a transfer to another bank. Everything was correct but they said they were not able to get a response from the bank (a very well known bank). They then said that the only way I could unlock it was to come into a physical branch. Basically locked out of your own money unless you want to use the debit card. In modern times that is insane, especially given that I established it as an online account. Horrible experience!

I would give negative stars if possible ABSOLUTE WORST customer experience in the history of customer service. I never leave reviews - this is a disaster and a joke.... Bye and good luck - from a customer for over 25+ years

I have been banking with Huntington for half of my life and it seems as though, I have overlooked major issues within their institution. Last year, I damaged my card and required a new one. When I called to ask for one to be reissued to me, without asking my permission, they cancelled my card and left me with no option to plan purchases, no way to utilize/access my money aside from Zelle (in which I would require another person to make purchases for me and I pay them back) and no real time frame in which I would be allowed to receive my new card. It would arrive whenever Fedex decided to give it to me, and I was not able to add the new card to my mobile wallet. And just today, I booked an appointment that required a downpayment of $195, which I paid. But my account double charged me for the pending charge. I called the business and we worked together to discover that the issue was not on their end, as they only had one receipt and only received my downpayment. So I call the bank. It turns out that if you have enough money in your account to be charged both the down payment and any additional payments, Huntington with (unhelpfully) issue a pending charge of that amount. Leaving me with significantly less money in my account. I asked if it was possible to remove the pending charge from my account, as in their own words, once the charge was no longer pending it would disappear, but they said that was not possible. I asked how long this would take, they said maybe between 1 to 3 business days. It is a Friday, meaning I may have to go up to 5 full days without access to my money. Money that I did not authorize to be taken and I was not notified about the loss of. They said nothing and could not give me a real answer. I asked for more information and they could only apologize. I requested a supervisor, who did answer my call, but again, all I got was an apology. I do not have access to my money. I did not authorize any additional pull to my account. And this is the second time in 9 months that this bank has screwed me over in such a way. Never bank with Huntington, I certainly won't be as soon as I allegedly get my money back.
