Hi Daniel, Samara here from Hunter’s Support team. I’m so sorry to hear this. Spam is something we do not encourage with Hunter and we already have several measures in place to prevent it. For example, we are the only email finder tool to use 100% transparent data (data that can be currently found on the web). More information can be found here: https://hunter.io/our-data. Due to that, all the emails in Hunter can be publicly found outside our tool: we don’t distribute emails or information associated with other third party databases. While we fight spam since we want only to ease the process to contact targeted professionals, we cannot unfortunately monitor how emails are used (for privacy reasons). In full accordance with the GDPR legislation we also provide a service (Claim) to claim your professional email to prevent from being listed in our tool: https://hunter.io/claim If you’ve received unsolicited emails from specific emails outside of Hunter, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Support team at [email protected] and we’d be happy to look into things for you.

Hunter is a really awesome tool for automating email outreach campaigns, but what impressed me even more was their customer service. I had intended to only use it for a month, and so I cancelled it on the day that it was supposed to rebill. However, due to the time difference between Singapore and America, I had cancelled a day late, and ended up being charged. I then contacted their customer support and seeked their understanding after explaining my situation to them. No questions asked, they immediately refunded the money, and even asked if there was anything they could do better! Really incredible customer service, because their refund policy was that you couldn't get a refund just because you cancelled your billing, but they were unbelievably understanding! Sure, Hunter has glitches at times, and it isn't perfect, but their customer service is fantastic, and more than makes up for the small flaws that it has.

I have found Hunter extremely helpful in finding email addresses, more and more websites seem to have no or just a generic email address, Hunter has enabled me to find addresses for names of people I know who work for certain companies.
