Absolute game changer! I started using this when I started my old business years ago and now I use it as a freelancer. This allows you to make your own prospect lists - yes it takes longer than buying those lists but at least you know they’re as accurate as possible because you were able to find the right contact info! Buying lists doesn’t guarantee good information unfortunately.

SCAM – Unauthorized charges after using the extension I installed Mailtracker to test its email tracking features, and I deeply regret it. I was charged twice without my consent even though I never signed up for a paid subscription or authorized any payment. There was no confirmation email, no invoice, and no way to cancel. The platform is deliberately opaque and makes it almost impossible to reach support. This is clearly fraudulent behavior, and I had to report the charges to my bank as unauthorized. Be warned: this extension is a scam. Do not install it and absolutely do not share your payment information. To answer to the Customer success, Mailtracker is a service operated by Hunter. The proof is that the CEO reached to me to refund me and asked me to remove my review after I wrote it. Very dishonest people. Therefore, I suggest not to use any of these both services.

Response from Hunter.io· May 22, 2025
Hi Sonia, Thank you for sharing your feedback. I’m really sorry to hear about the frustration you're experiencing. However, it appears that the issue you’re encountering is related to Mailtracker, which is a separate service, not supported by Hunter. To clarify and answer your last comment, Hunter and Mailtracker are two entirely separate services. While both were created by the same founders, they have different CEOs, operate independently and are not connected in any way. At Hunter, we do not provide support for Mailtracker, nor do we have access to their customer data or billing information. Since we operate as different entities, this review does not accurately reflect our service at Hunter. I kindly recommend reaching out directly to the Mailtracker support team at [email protected]—they’ll be in the best position to assist you and resolve the issue promptly. Thanks for your understanding. If you have any questions about Hunter, please don’t hesitate to contact us at [email protected]. Laura - Customer Success @ Hunter

I use ZoomInfo as my primary contact lookup source, as it also supplies phone contacts info. However, not all emails are in there. Typically, if not in ZoomInfo, I stand >50% chance of finding them in hunter.io. And using hunter.io is much less expensive than ZoomInfo. I highly recommend hunter.io.
