HireRightReviews of hireright.com

I am only using this company because it was advertised with Paychexs. Not only are they horrible, Hire Right is hands down the worst company I could use, I never can access a background check and I have paid out of pockey when this was supposed to be a free service.

Horrible 😡. They don’t communicate with you on your concerns nor will they contact you if having trouble verifying your documents which by law they are suppose to do. What could’ve taken three days is taking two weeks and no final results. The customer service staff is very rude and unprofessional.

This company called to verify details on a previous contractor. When I told them the information they were asking for was information that I did not have to disclose they tried to tell me I have to release the information to them. No I do not. They even tried to get me to say negative things about the previous contractor by asking leading questions. From a previous employer standpoint I can see why candidates are so frustrated.

Don't know what the actual shit this company does except for requesting a barrage of documents I am at my wits end here and might even have to call in to HR for this crap that they have chosen for BG check. Why is this company even in business right now? Honestly this curious mind wants to know why the hell does this company exists on the face of mother earth?

The absolute worst company. They called 4 times in 3 weeks to confirm employment information on the same person. I advised them of this and the person said can you confirm the information again. I said remove me from your call list.

This is the worst background check company to ever exist it’s been almost 2 weeks and my start date is in 3 days and I’ve been stuck on 86% and everyday I call they keep changing the date i had another job offer today they used accurate background check and it came back that same day … so now I have to decide if I am going to take that job or wait for these people who don’t know what they are doing .. it is soo many bad reviews so we all can’t be wrong about this company WD-051926-QV6UP this is my request id please speed this up

The credentialing department for this company is awful! Especially April Florence! She will never tell you how to go about fixing an issue, or what you can do to get your business verified, she just continues to email saying what you cannot do and provides no help at all! Literally had to go through a customer service agent from Hire Right who went above any beyond by messaging April to ask what it was exactly she was needing. Of course, April was nasty about it, but I expected no less! I do not recommend this company and question how a person like April even still a has a position there with the way she handles people who are opening their own business.

The entire process with my background check was unnecessarily long and frustrating. There was constant back-and-forth with requests for “acceptable” documentation, but their requirements seem to only accommodate traditional W-2 employees. As someone with self-employed 1099 income, it felt like they had little understanding of how contract work operates, despite me providing multiple forms of verification. The communication was also difficult at times due to unclear and poorly written requests. Overall, I would not recommend companies use their services. This type of process can easily discourage qualified candidates from accepting or pursuing opportunities.
