I had an awful experience with Eastern Staffing and Recruiting. I went to the Binghamton Job Fair and was told by an employee that I had an interview at 11 am the next day and that they would call me. When 11 am rolled around the next day I waited until 11:15 and received no call. I called them myself and asked why i haven't gotten called. I was told that the lady that i was supposed to meet with was in a emergency meeting with another client and wouldn't be longer than 11:30 Ish. I said that was okay and was still available at that time. When 12:00 rolled around and i still had received no phone call i was confused, but i waited another full hour thinking the meeting went longer than expected. At 1 pm I still had not received any phone call, so I called the office again. When I called this time, I was told that they didn't know what I was talking about and the guy that I was supposed to meet with went on lunch and was unavailable. Confused, I asked why I was speaking with this guy when I was supposed to be speaking to a woman about my job experience. The answer I got was that they had already found a job for me after looking at my resume. Still, I was confused why I was being told two sperate things and why I had waited for 2 hours for an interview. I was told to wait another hour and then I could speak to someone and have my interview. So, I waited until 2. At 2 o'clock I finally got my phone call; with the woman I was supposed to meet with in the first place. After telling her I was looking for a starting career job with my degree of electrical construction and instrumentation, she only gave me concrete pouring and entry level assembly work. This was frankly an insulting that I waited for an 11-minute phone call for three hours to get two job options that had nothing to do with what I was looking for. I found this to be extremely unprofessional that I didn't receive any phone call rescheduling or apologizing for the wait. I will never recommend this company to anyone in the future due to how I was treated. This was a huge waste of my time.
