Company shows and advertises in tree form (single stalk) but I received a bush form stalk split less than 6 inches from base of audrey ficus Company will not exchange or refund unless severely damaged . For price paid it should at least be a single stalk tree as advertised. I understand differences in height and fullness but should be tree form. Update: company did refund my item after looking into my complaints. I also received my other plant I had ordered that shipped separately. It arrived in good shape and am happy with that purchase.

They sent me a medium monstera plant that was bent and growing 90 degrees horizontally rather then a vertical plant. Who sells and ships something like that? Customer service tried to convince me it was a fine plant--horizontal plants are fine from their perspective. Absolutely, no refund or replacement and not nice to work with. Spend your money elsewhere.

I have bought many plants and received them in very well condition. So I trusted to make an order for my mother. I got her a Peacock Plant and it arrived in a perfect box, but once out, the plant looked terrible. I contacted them and the response was "this is completely normal for a plant to grow like this. The ONE time I try to gift, this happens, I will not be shopping here ever again!

I have been plant parenting for over a decade so I have purchased from many other online retailers before. I ordered several plants over $100 value. They arrived in okay to good condition (some brown tips) but one of the air plants from the trio I bought looked crispy and brown like it was on its way out. I took pictures and emailed it to the company and they just referred me to their help section. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I decided to see if I could just work with the plant. It's been in my bathroom with the other airplants. It's now a little over a month and just two days ago, I turned around and saw that one plant turned completely brown, shriveled up and died while the other two are still fine. In my past dealings, other online plant places will immediately fix issues. This was the first online retailer who told me there was no problem with the plant. I was about to write them to show them pictures that the plant didn't survive but after reading these Trust Pilot reviews, I don't have time to deal with a company that is non-responsive or lacks in customer service. I would rather this be a one time purchase from them. Three stars because I still have my other plants.

I ordered 2 song of india plants from Rooted that arrived rotten and over watered.. both of them! I reached out to Rooted and provided pics of the rotten plants and was advised that I would receive a refund for them which never arrived. ROOTED IS A SCAM and my plants were subpar and now no one will take accountability or respond. I will never shop here again and I do not recommend as there are too many other options to shop for beautiful quality plants now.

I regret not checking the Trustpilot reviews for Hey Rooted before placing my $175 order. I had no idea this company had a reputation for poor communication and failing to deliver healthy, high-quality plants. The small rabbit’s foot fern I received arrived in disappointing condition. It was extremely small—more like a weed than a fern—and looked nothing like the lush, long-stemmed plant pictured on the website. It had been tightly packed with a rubber band over the top, which had crushed the delicate leaves during transit. If I had known this is what I’d be getting, I never would have spent that kind of money. I reached out to customer support hoping to resolve the issue, but I’ve yet to receive any response. Frustrated and feeling let down, I decided to try again—this time ordering a rabbit’s foot fern from TheOddFrond on Etsy. Not only was it cheaper, but it arrived quickly and in far better condition right out of the box. This was my first time ordering plants online, and I honestly felt gaslit by the experience with Hey Rooted. It’s incredibly disheartening to invest that much money and be met with silence—and a sad, wilted plant that looks nothing like what was advertised.

This company is a scam. They sent me a dead/damaged plant and refused to refund me. They said I had to purchase winter packaging. I do not live in a state that is cold. Please avoid using them!

I genuinely hate writing negative reviews but feel it's necessary here. Hey Rooted seems to be a total scam of a company in its products and service lacking. I received plants in horrible condition, wet and damaged, despite paying for the winter protection. Then the pots I purchased were delayed, ultimately receiving ones that were inches bigger than listed. They refused to refund these, repeatedly saying they can't accept returns because of "operational constraints" uh... that's not my fault. I HIGHLY recommend avoiding this company. This was my first and absolutely last order with them.
