I had a coaching session with Alisha, she understood my concerns, addressed them and found solutions to help resolve my situation. I would do all my coaching session with her if I could. She was nice, welcoming, and ready to help. My main concerns were doing clinicals for the program that would be beneficial to my situation and Alisha reassured me that it would be possible to adjust. However, I do suggest to providing more resources/locations to students for clinicals. I reside in Houston, Texas and it’s only one location in Houston Texas that HTA partner with but it’s not for Sterile processing. Otherwise I’d have to travel a great distance to the locations. Not ideal!

Thank you for this! We're glad your coaching session addressed your concerns head-on and left you with a workable path for clinicals. Your point about Houston is fair, and it's the kind of feedback we need. One partner site in a city that size isn't enough, especially when it doesn't cover Sterile Processing, and we're passing this to our clinical partnerships team as we grow the network.
There was just a small amount of difficulty with communication, getting the initial phone call for more information. But I eventually was able to get through on my end when I called. Everything else went pretty smoothly. And I was able to get the information I needed. Things were explained well. I am looking forward to starting.

application was pretty easy, technology easy to understand, so far, the staff is nice

My experience with HTA has been amazing! Everyone that has helped me through this experience and supported me has been nothing short of amazing. The coaches that have guided me, I will forever be grateful.

I really like health tech academy as it makes it possible for single moms like myself to complete school with the self paced classes. My coach LaKeisha has been amazing throughout the whole experience. Always there to help!

I feel like personally HTA is a helpful option for someone who doesn't have time to go back to school and requires flexibility. Online programs in general are kind of a teach yourself thing so having discipline and motivation are important. The staff at HTA are very helpful. When I first enrolled I did kinda feel as though it was impossible to get ahold of anyone ,but it has gotten a lot better. I believe this program is new and still growing but I definitely endorse it to be a good school with remarkable instructors and helpful advisors. Now the down side is with this school you wont receive help with finding clinical placement this is something you have to do on your own. It is very frustrating so before you apply i would advise you to look into hospitals/ASCs around you, ask around and see what kinda options you have as far as clinical rotations go. Im enrolled in the Surgical Tech Program and I am in the process of starting my second externship. As long as you stay on top of your education and advocate for yourself you will do great. I'm not done with my education journey but I am glad I choose HTA I have learned a lot.
