Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with this company in the Baltimore, MD area. I encourage everyone to avoid this "service" like the plague. They are just after your $199 cancellation fee. You have been warned. Their mosquito service does not work. After repeated complaints to the techs that show up and having to call multiple times for re-sprays because their scheduling website never has any available times. My yard was completely unusable this year. I would recommend ANY other service that is established already. The backpack blowers that established services use work on Asian Tiger mosquitos, Hawx's squirt bottles do not abate them at all and neither do their "traps". Stay far away! Keep your $199 in your pocket rather than just give it to these sheisters for services un-rendered. Bad business practice. To Hawx; If your service doesn't work, i don't think an offer to separate amicably is unwarranted. You have made me an enemy and until I get my $199 back, I will be bad mouthing you to all my friends and every place on the internet I can to warn people of your terrible service in the hopes I can save them from falling for your terrible service and unscrupulous practices (scam?). Do not sign up with Hawx. I switched after Hawx salesperson Elijah Tomsen agreed to cancel my existing Aptive service and cover the cancellation fee. He accessed my Aptive account, changed the contact information to his own name/email, and added a Visa card. Months later, I received a $235.98 collection notice from Aptive. Aptive told me my account was never cancelled and the Visa Elijah added was declining for insufficient funds. Elijah stopped responding when I tried to get this resolved. I escalated the issue to Hawx and provided the supporting documentation they requested. Their final response was that they would NOT reimburse the Aptive balance and would NOT refund what I had paid Hawx. They only agreed to cancel my Hawx contract without a termination fee, calling it a “gesture of goodwill.” I would never have switched to Hawx without the representations their salesperson made. Their salesperson failed to do what he agreed to do, and after reviewing the documentation, Hawx declined to financially resolve the consequences. Terrible experience with both the salesperson and customer service. I would not recommend Hawx.

These people are liars. A man tricked me into signing up, promising to pay my first bill as a trial. Suddenly, I get a bill for over $100, and it turns out he lied to me. I've since cancelled service, but you absolutely cannot trust these people.

After a few rescheduled appointments & high pressure tactics, I decided enough was enough. We have been with Hawx for 5 years & hadn't had issues until recently. We did "fall" for their exclusion product...that was $1,800 I should have just lit on fire. Today I tried to cancel services altogether...I was told there would be a $190+ cancelation fee. Apparently, when they raised their prices July 2024, I initialed that paperwork & THAT is considered a contract. Buyer beware. Several calls to "account managers" resulted in no satisfaction. As I told that last person I talked to: a satisfied customer tells 10 people, a dissatisfied customer tells 100 people. They do not care.

Yall charged me when I canceled how the contract said then harass me for years and still doing for 70$. That is wild mad my bank took the money back. All they do is spray water after the first 3 visits and I caught them just walking around my house not spraying anything then lie to my face. They’re a scam don’t use them

If I could give zero I would. Hawx is a marketing service that gets you in the contract and that do NOT deliver their services. Their sales team knot in your door and promises you the world. When is time to deliver, they have a 3 weeks schedule time and after you wait (with a 8am-8pm window time), they don't show up. TWICE! I chose to take the big lost and cancel the account. P.S. any resonable company would do right to you but not them. They refused to get my downpayment or my monthly fee back - despite they NOT showing up. HAWX = $$$$$ WASTED MONEY, TIME AND FRUSTRATION.

I would not recommend Hawx based on my experience with their billing and customer service. According to Hawx’s own portal, the last service performed at my property was in April. After the payment method on file stopped processing, Hawx stopped coming out. I understand that decision. What I do not accept is continuing to bill me for May, June, July, and August while no further service was being performed. I disputed the charges in writing and repeatedly asked Hawx to do one of two things: provide service records showing what work was performed during those months, or identify the contractual basis for continuing to bill while service had stopped. They did neither. Instead, I received repeated canned responses telling me that the matter “cannot be addressed via email” and directing me to call. I specifically wanted the dispute handled in writing so there would be a clear record. At this point, my biggest concern is not simply the disputed balance. It is Hawx’s refusal to substantively address a clear billing dispute in writing. I have disputed the balance, revoked authorization for them to charge the payment method on file for the disputed amount, and filed a formal complaint. Based on this experience, I would not use Hawx again.

Customer service is terrible, I've worked with 3 different pest control companies and their process is by far the most annoying, and I've had the most bugs I've had in 5 years. They also increased my rate without sending any correspondence. Cancelling was frustrating, I would recommend several other companies over them
