The first time using this knife sharpener it took some getting used to. My knives did sharpen quite nicely. I am sure with a little more practice this Hatori knife sharpener will make and keep all my knives razor sharp. I do like the ease of using this sharpener and allowing exact angles for my assortment of knives. This is a very good product and worth the money.

Good communication and a great product. I would like it if you had a sharpener for small knives. It would be nice if the rubber pads on the bottom of the holder would stick more to the surface I put it on.

Have yet to make a good edge on my global knives , maybe practice makes perfect. I am using the 15° angle should I be using the 20°.

Hi Philip, Thank you for the kind review. Global knives have a thinner blade profile, and the 15 degree setting is usually the right choice for them, so you are already on the right track. Dear Eric ... Thank you for the follow up ... I have very much mixed feelings, but finally happy. I bought my set of Hatori tools, sharpnener, knife, etc. about 2 months ago. Everything supposed to come at a date, not come, not come, not come. I have been in contact, and been told the order will be resent, will be recent, in process, etc. That was very stressing, Finally two days ago everything arrived, and I was so happy that previous discomfort was eased. I wish you would be more carefult in the follow up of your orders; I thought you were based in Japan, so it should not take that long for delivery. Anyway, try to upgrade the fast delivery part.
