Ham Radio OutletReviews of hamradio.com

I ordered a paid for a radio with a stated software version. The radio I received today had the incorrect software. The invoice and packing slip have the correct radio version name. But the sticker on the box has the incorrect name. Now I have an expensive paperweight. The radio manufacturer refunded my money after a month. Now HRO took my money and states the person who sold it to me is out till the end of the week. Employees need to be educated on items they sell. Will not be giving my money to HRO again.

I purchased a radio and had to return it. They made that process easy, but charged me a 20% restocking fee, as opposed to the 15% I had expected and which is published on their site and paperwork. I reached out to the National Sales Manager and he couldn't be bothered with the math. I teach high school math and asked another teacher to run over my figures and they agreed I was taken for an extra 5%. This wasn't my first purchase with HRO but it will be my last. Not only do they falsely advertise restocking fees (in an era when restocking fees are almost never implemented in the first place) but they also reject black and white factual data.
