Used it for over a month
I subscribed to GPLChimp on 24th November with a valid plan that clearly allows 20 downloads per day for 1 month. Between 24–29 November, I used the service within the allowed daily limit. On 29th November, I received an email from the GPLChimp admin questioning why I was using the full download limit regularly. He claimed people create “replica websites,” which is why he was asking. This itself is confusing — if the plan allows 20 downloads per day, questioning a customer for using the service as advertised makes no sense. I clearly explained that: I am experimenting with plugins to test which ones suit my website I shared my website name I even shared a screenshot showing 120 plugins available but only 33 actually installed Creating a “replica website” would require continuous updates, testing, and maintenance — it is not something that can realistically be done just by downloading plugins. Still, I cooperated fully and gave all details requested. Despite this, the admin replied in Hindi using abusive and insulting language, saying: “aur tere jaisa mandbudhi tu hi hoga jo 120 product ek site pe activate kar raha hai” This is extremely unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable behavior from a service provider. Even if there were concerns, they should have been handled politely and professionally — not through personal insults. I would strongly advise others to be cautious before subscribing. The service terms say one thing, but the behavior of the admin tells a very different story.

Response from GPL Chimp - Best GPL Site· Jan 14, 2026
Hello Manav, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely sorry that this interaction left you feeling disrespected. That was never our intention. We would like to clarify that our concern was purely technical, not personal. Our intent was to advise you not to activate or test a very large number of plugins on a single website, as this often causes conflicts, performance issues, and unexpected errors. From long experience, we regularly guide users on best practices to avoid such problems. Regarding the word you mentioned, it was used casually and informally, in the sense of an elder advising a younger person, not as an insult. However, we fully understand that tone does not translate well in written communication, and we sincerely apologize if it came across as offensive or unprofessional. We agree that we should have communicated more carefully and formally. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to clarify our side.
