I'm just cutting down on expenses for things I no longer need. There are free services for the casual user, which currently describes my needs. Should my travel pic up again, I'll be back.

Reliable access to Gmail in China is normally a pain. After loading GoTrusted, my Gmail suddenly worked and I could upload and download attachments again. I did lose access to my printer but after raising the issue with Tech support it was quickly solved. The only ongoing niggle was that some links on webpages would hang. The work around was switching Gotrusted on and off as required, which you can do as a single button click.

I can not suggest you to use GoTrusted in China, its too slow and too many times are not working. I tried other companies and the VPN from them works better and faster. But the reaction time and the help informations from the support team are good.

Thank you for the feedback. Slow service can be caused by many factors, such as connecting the GoTrusted software in 'Compatibility Mode' which is required to connect VPNs in certain regions. In most cases selecting a region closer to you can provide a speed increase. The GoTrusted network itself maintains a bursting bandwidth availability of about 50%, meaning there is available speed on servers for customers to stream HD video at all times of day assuming the connection to the GoTrusted network is fast enough. The GoTrusted network automatically adjusts load balances to make sure any single server does not get overloaded.
Would not recommend this service for anything other than browsing static, non-image-heavy websites.

Thank you for the feedback. Slow service can be caused by many factors, such as connecting the GoTrusted software in 'Compatibility Mode' which is required to connect VPNs in certain regions. MTU issues (Support can help with this) on the computer/ISP. It can also be caused by server region that you are connecting to - picking a closer region from GoTrusted settings can fix this. Usually, GoTrusted support can promptly fix most speed issues if outside factors allow this. The GoTrusted network itself maintains a bursting bandwidth availability of about 50%, meaning there is available speed on servers for customers to stream HD video at all times of day assuming the connection to the GoTrusted network is fast enough. The GoTrusted network automatically adjusts load balances to make sure any single server does not get overloaded.
service is poor and you give no instructions to set up your vpn.

We're sorry that you had difficulty using the software. Unlike other VPN software, the GoTrusted Secure Tunnel VPN software requires no setup after installing (other than entering your Email Login and Password that you created during registration). Then just click the Connect button to connect to the GoTrusted VPN service. If you wish, there is a menu option to change the countries/regions that you'd prefer to connect to. The GoTrusted VPN software will automatically configure its settings depending upon your ISP and location. As always, GoTrusted support is available on chat and through email to help.
You have just got to have a VPN if you are doing business in China. However I found GoTrusted unreliable, it kept on dropping out, I found I could manage by keep on changing my location but it was a pain. Also on a private basis I like to watch Australian tv using iview but that detects you location and block you if you are not in Australia, be great to have an Australian base Colin Austin [email protected]

Too many lags and buffering when trying to use UK websites

Thank you for the feedback. If you experience slow performance on any servers, this can almost always be solved by support. The reasons for slow performance can be several: including antivirus attempting to scan the GoTrusted connection (web scan type modules in the antivirus), computer OS/CPU, the local Internet provider's route to the UK region, GoTrusted connection mode, computer MTU (technically the packet sizes the computer uses over the GoTrusted connection), and others. GoTrusted support can usually solve the by providing settings or configurations that work-around speed issues if video is buffering on your system. If you use GoTrusted again in the future, please let us know if you experience these issues.
The service is very slow. It takes for ever to connect. Some servers are flagged as proxy and some web sites ban service. The subscription becomes inactive as soon as one cancels even though one pays for a whole month.

The slow to connect issue can usually be solved by support - if you use GoTrusted again, please give us an opportunity to get this fixed for you. This is caused by some regions/cities attempting to filter Internet access. We do cancel the service when you submit your request to cancel the service. If you intended for your service to continue, just let support know, and they'll enable your account or refund the balance of the billing cycle for you.
