Gooten: Print on DemandReviews of gooten.com

8th poster to arrive damaged. Artists beware: the ship your artwork in flimsy cardboard. half of my orders are actually bent on the paper but yet the box is intact which means they are rolling the paper too tight. They claim to be investigating for weeks but never any answers as to WHY this is happening.

It's okay... That's it just... Okay. Makes you do everything on your own but eh not the worst

I just started using Gooten maybe 2 months ago. Everything was good until about a month ago when one customer after another was sending photos of bent posters. I now have 5 orders that have arrived with similar damage. The cardboard packaging is obviously causing these issues.

I've been using Gooten for years, and my experience has been good. For the last two weeks, it hasn't. I have many overdue orders, and Gooten support is not replying to my tickets and emails. My tickets are 4 days old, and nobody replied to me.

Gooten was easy to use. Took me a bit to add to my Etsy Store but the shipping is way too expensive!!!! By the time I mark my items at a reasonable price point, shipping cost are calculated and there is no way someone will pay for my product. Gooten needs to add shipping cost to the product page.

I just started an apparel business and order two shirts the same design and color, this was my first order and one was great and the order wasn't. Where there was suppose to be white on the shirt for the design there was gray, at the best faded white.

Gooten has been my primary POD fulfillment company for my etsy store (selling tees, sweatshirts, hoodies and tumblers) for 1 year and now I am switching to other companies, because: Order status transparency is low, especially when there are delays or issues, you have to email them to ask for updates. Email response time is typically 2-3 business days. Their resolution to unexpected events (if massive volume during holiday seasons is considered unexpected) is slow - when I email to inquire about a delayed order, I was then informed that the order needs to be routed to another printing provider after 10 days in production and they cannot give even an estimate of when production will finish. I could have used another company to fulfill the order during earlier stages of this order if they were more organized and transparent. Integration with etsy is not perfect; tracking links do not always automatically sync to etsy when order is shipped, making it a manual job to complete orders in etsy. There were times when an order contains multiple items but only the first item was synced and sent to production. Close monitoring on every step is needed and automation is not yet possible. Compared with other POD networks, they are not as flexible when you need to edit address / cancel order after order was placed. I wish the flow of information between Gooten and printing providers could be more timely. Production takes longer than other POD platforms I used. Most orders can be shipped within their estimated time frame but they are not excellent if you are trying to build a brand or reputation with fast delivery. Customer service is making an effort to be friendly and helpful but they are not involved enough to really help to solve issues. Generic answers are not helpful when issues arise. But seems to me what they are allowed to do is really that much only. What is good about Gooten: They have gildan 18500 hoodie in indigo-blue color. Their standard international shipping is cheap. The printable area on the back of a hoodie is big: 4500x5700px They are quick to refund when there are printing errors. You can adjust the placement of design on each size of the garment, one by one, though the design tool interface is not the easiest one to use and thus quite time consuming.

I like Gooten's canvas products, but when it comes to their User Interface and their mock up images and generator, it's horrendous! My three main problem with Gooten is that: 1. Their user interface is very unorganized and difficult to navigate. The framed canvas and unframed canvas are not lined up by size (small - large) and by price order (least - greatest). Everything is just tossed all over the place, making it a sloppy and complicated tool to use when trying to individually price each item. Or locate each item. It is absolutely tedious to work with. 2. Their mock up generators and images are horrible when it come to the wall art décor items. How come you only have one image showing the front of the item, but no other corners of the item are viewable? This makes it hard for customers to view what they are actually buying. Some of the images are dull and dark looking, which makes it unattractive. 3. Gooten needs to fix their product collections. Whenever you try to add your products using Gooten's collection list, it automatically creates a new collections list in your Shopify dashboard instead of using the current collections you already have. If you have to fix a product in your Gooten dashboard, you will need to delete the collections list from Gooten and manually add it all over again in your Shopify dashboard, otherwise you will have new collections list automatically made in you Shopify dashboard. Please fix your mock up generators and add more images where customers can view each angle of the product they are buying. The prices need to be adjusted a little more too, as some of them are different prices for different colors. It's been a few years since they said they would change this but nothing has been done so far. I would recommend Gooten but they need to focus more on their platform and mock ups.
