Terrible customer support and NO repair service in Europe
My Yeti 3000X developed an intermittent COLD error that prevents it from charging. I contacted Goal Zero on August 23 and, after all three resets, a firmware update and several diagnostic checks, the problem remained. The unit is out of warranty, and I made it clear that I was NOT asking for a free replacement. I was perfectly willing to pay for a repair. Customer support was extremely slow, often taking around a week or more to reply just to ask for another piece of information. After more than FIVE WEEKS, Goal Zero finally told me that they have no certified repair centre in Spain — OR ANYWHERE in Europe — and simply suggested contacting the shop where I bought it. They then closed the case. For such an expensive product, having no paid repair option in Europe is bad enough. Taking five weeks to tell a customer this makes the experience even worse. I wish I had known this before buying a Goal Zero product.
