Did not deliver as promised...
A part on my tankless water heater went out and GlobalTowne was one of only two vendors that showed the item in stock. Given their location's relative close proximity to my home, I chose to order from them in hopes that my item would arrive more quickly and I could get back to warm showers! I spoke with a representative on the phone and placed my order. He told me that they had one item in stock and it would ship that day; it should arrive at my house two days later. I had still not received a confirmation email on the day it was to arrive, so I called to confirm that the order had shipped. I spoke with one gentleman, who then passed me to a woman in the office, who then transferred me (without telling me she was going to transfer me) to another man who finally had the guts to tell me that they never had the item in stock, but had just ordered it when they received my order and were planning to ship it to me when they received it in the next couple of days. I did my best to be kind to the person I was dealing with, but expressed how incredulous I was that they failed to notify me of their error. Certainly they understand that people who are waiting for water heater parts do not have hot water, right? Well, apparently not. they didn't contact me to let me know that the order would be delayed and insisted that there had been a miscommunication when I questioned them as to why. In fact, miscommunication is the only explanation they could give. On a bright note, they did say they were sorry and agreed to cancel my order! ;)
