I used Glad kitchen drawstring trash bags for many years and they were fine. Then at some point they changed their packaging and perhaps their process. The last two times I purchased them, the drawstring was fused into the plastic, which made them unusable. When I complained to Glad, they apologized and offered me a coupon, but not a refund. I had to trash the package. I am going to switch to Hefty and hop they are not as bad.

"Glad Wrap 60m x 33cm Freshness Shield Proven Strength Trusted Quality" Over the years, the film has become so thin, the best way to use it is not to purchase the product in the first place! For starters, the tear strip is useless with such thin film. I am finding it impossible to get a nice sheet in one piece to cover a plate. By the time I wrangle the film off the tear strip, parts of it already cling folded together and become unusable. And now I am stuck with almost 60m of that stuff, most of it ending up unusable. I may as well toss it. Don't buy this product, use some kind of lid instead for whatever you wish to cover, or try another cling product. Though, I fear, most won't be much better.

Glad has become the poster child for everything wrong with mass‑market household products. Every single thing they make — wraps, bags, containers, you name it — feels like it was designed to fail as quickly and as annoyingly as possible. Nothing works the way it’s advertised. Nothing lasts. Nothing performs. It’s all cheap, flimsy, disposable frustration pretending to be “quality.” Their food containers warp, crack, leak, and lose their shape after one wash. Their wraps don’t wrap, don’t seal, and don’t stick to anything except themselves. Their trash bags rip if you look at them sideways. Every product line is a new flavor of disappointment. Glad’s entire brand identity seems to be built on cutting corners, slapping on bright packaging, and hoping customers won’t notice until it’s too late. It’s a masterclass in selling hype instead of function. You pay for reliability and get bargain‑bin performance. From top to bottom, the whole lineup is cheap junk dressed up as something useful. Glad should stop promising durability, strength, or performance until they actually make a product that can survive basic, everyday use. If you want frustration, wasted money, and products that fail at the one job they’re supposed to do, Glad has you covered. If you want quality, look literally anywhere else.

I brought my usual box of extra strength force flex glad bags this past week and every single bag in this box the tie string broke off. Usually these bags work ok for me but this past box was a complete dud. I hope the next one is better. I had to switch to the extra strength bags awhile back because they just are not as strong as they used to be. Now even the extra strength is not as well made. I have to carry my trash down steps outside to the garbage can so a strong bag that holds up is very important......

Glad wrap have done a Cadbury effort! Where Cadbury introduced the smaller block, same price Glad wrap have made the film thin and useless!

Garbage!! Since when are glad force flex the worst least durable trash bag on the market? Unbelievable. Every!! Bag!! Rips either on the way into the trash can or one the way out. It’s pretty sad when Amazon Basics is now a better quality than Glad. Y’all should be ashamed of yourselves.

I am a long time purchaser of the zip lock bags. The last box I purchased recently has most of the bags ripping at the zip-lock portion when I go to open them. It is nearly 80% of them. The quality has really gone down hill. I never used to have this issue. Very dissapointing. Sandy C

Cling and seal product doesn’t cling to anything but itself and then your wasting product by having to double what you needed. Worst product in the world.
