We put in for a dog, contact lady needed $200 fir vet and paperwork. Reluctantly we sent it . Today on way to meet and greet, she needed 300.00 more for vet and license. Back and forth, now no contact at all. Still has our 200.00

New on there. 3scams already, sure it's the same guy,NY location. All French bulldog puppies. He rushed me to do a meet request. Next, he's asking my full name, number, email&for $80(cashapp or zelle,) for paperwork on a 4m old puppy. Vets give you copies&don't charge. You should have the paperwork if your puppy is that small.Point is, don't click on the Frenchies. There are some actual owners looking to rehome pets, but the size I'm seeking, temperment, shots up to date, fixed, etc make it a journey.Seems scammers don't like answering valid questions.Or sometimes thier dogs info doesn't add up.How is a 3m old puppy large(41-75lbs)?Why is the breed a lab,but it's a French bulldog puppy&one photo isn't even the same puppy!Adopters, beware. You're prey.

I adopted a dog I found on Get Your Pet. The Guardian lied about the dog's age and behavior issues. She promised me vaccination and vet records but never followed through. I tried to get an appointment with one of their vets before finalizing the adoption, but I couldn't get one in time. I emailed Get Your Pet and explained what happened. All I got was a canned response, thanking me for using their service. You are on your own! Get your pet provides the platform and collects your money. Don't expect more from them.

I tried to meet up with a deadbeat named Leo to potentially adopt Scout, his ALLEGED GSD puppy, Leo turned out to be a complete scammer, lying about his location because once he agreed to meet, he insisted there were toll costs which was bull because I purposely selected a location less than 5 miles from him for HIS convenience, then he has the nerve to tell me that because HE was stood up in the past, that I had to suffer by paying him "half" before even getting to meet the dog and that he needed a full gas tank as well, like that was my obligation, his gall was unfathomable. I reported him and sent screengrabs of our entire exchange to one of the "Top Dogs" of the site more than two days ago and have yet to hear back.. I understand it's the weekend, but that shouldn't matter when it comes to lives at stake, especially since the site boasts to want to keep animals out of shelters, which don't keep a M-F schedule, they are open 365/year. So direct contact capability with admins when the need to report a scammer occurs should be an option. Someone said they are good/quick to handle complaints, not sure what sure what her definition of quick or good are, but she must be used to waiting. I could understand the delay in response if this was a 100% free to use site, but it's not, and even if it was, there should be a response within an hour or at maximum same day as the site boasts doing what's best for cats and dogs who need rehoming, well guess what? Keeping lowlifes who discourage people who are trying to do the right thing, rather than make a dishonest quick buck, off their website in a timely fashion as soon as the threat is identified, is what's best for cats and dogs in need of a forever home in my viewpoint, now am I right or am I right?

I was stunned after adopting cheerio July 5, and taking him to the vet. I knew he was a senior and blind. I wanted him to live out his remaining years loved and comfortable. Clearly the owner wasn't forthcoming with his neglect and other issues. The vet was disturbed at his condition. His coat was never washed or groomed. It was so matted and dirty and long. Hair had actually grown over his eyes it was crusted and hard clumps. His nails were so long they were growing into his paws. Hair so matted over his rectum he couldn't poop. Hair was growing into his mouth. He received no dental care. His teeth were broken and rotted. Gums puffy and infected. Both sides were absessed and draining into his stomach. So he constantly heaved up yellow pus. Opening his mouth to lick or yawn/drink was unbearable to smell. It made me gag. I'm so angry he's had to live like this for so long, it's heartbreaking. It's completely cruel. The vet said he should be put down. I cried for him. He didn't deserve the abuse he got. It would cost close to 2,000 but still wouldn't last much longer. He is so loving and won't leave my side. Then I want him to go being loved and not alone. I will do what I can to make him as comfortable as possible. It took 3hrs to bath, groom, clip his nails. He was so happy,he was running and jumping in the grass. He was so silly. She also rinsed his mouth with a 2step system, 1 being antibiotics. I truly didn't recognize him. For a short time my severe anxiety,G.A.D,and D.A.D.was under control we went for walks and a dog park. I needed him and he needed me.I really love him Rehoming might not be the best choice, but they all deserve a chance and that's what's important.

I'm real happy with the fur baby who has joined my family. I can't say that about the way I found her. "Get Your Pet" appears to be a great thing. But there are many restrictions that prohibit getting to know your prospective pet. My pet's former parents lived 2 hours from me, and I couldn't even give them my phone number, or email without first setting up a visit. I wanted to get more photos, because the one on the site was dark. Nope...can't do that. I wanted to talk with them on the phone. Nope...can't do that. Who wants to drive 2 hours, when you don't even know much about the animal, or the place it's coming from? I want to hear the people talk about the dog they are giving up. And if I were giving up a dog, I'd want to speak to the prospective parents. I would not want to meet them first. The world is just too weird nowadays, to meet up with strangers, in a strange place. I was lucky that the former parents trusted me enough to drive all the way to my house, so they could see where their baby was going. It costs $99 to adopt a pet at Get Your Pet. They say that $99 gives you a free dog walking service, a discount on dog food, and a free wellness exam at PetsMart. The dog walking service is not in my city. The dog food is not available in my city. PetsMart advertises that they give a free first visit wellness exam. So, that $99, did absolutely nothing, except go in the pockets of Get Your Pet. I actually thought the money went to the adoptee. I wouldn't have minded that. Like I said, I love my new family member. as for Get Your Pet, I was disappointed with them, and I don't recommend them.
