I was so worried on where to get some form of working capital. However they were nothing but awesome and quick. I had the amazing pleasure of working with Stephanie. Finding reasonable short-term working capital for your company can be difficult. The world of Merchant Cash Advances (MCAs), while serving a real need for small business, is a fierce and brutal industry. I sometimes compare it to a payday loan store that an individual might use. Lenders can be annoyingly aggressive and “less than clear” on the terms of the deal they are bring to the table. These advances, strictly speaking, are not loans, they are an advance against your future receivables. Because of this, contracts do not resemble your typical promissory note. It won’t reference a Principal Loan Amount, it’s a Purchase Price. The interest rate quoted is a number that has never made any sense to me. Total Amount to Repay is something like Receipts Purchased. MCA Agreements are agreements that you MUST read, every page. There was a time when we thought that shopping around for short-term capital was a good idea. “Shopping around” with people you don’t know is Never a good idea. Rich Brown at Fast Funds Capital (I also reviewed here) brought Fintegra to the table recently when we needed some working capital on short notice. When the contract came over, after reading it I commented to our CFO “Art, I LOVE these guys!” (Fintegra). “This is without a doubt the cleanest, most straight forward, honest paper I’ve ever seen for an MCA. And the numbers are very good – a bit better than I expected.” We had the opportunity to speak with Glenn Forman, CEO of Fintegra. He had a couple of questions just before funding was to occur. We understood what he was asking and why he was asking. Rather than us thinking “what now?”, we found reassurance in the conversation. Here’s the kicker – this was all after 5:00pm on a Friday. Funds were in our account overnight, Saturday morning. Never has that happened before. This may be the third review I’ve ever written. This is a little long but if I’m going to write it, I want you to know why. You can save yourself a great deal of headache and anxiety by reaching out to Fintegra. They are honest, they listen, and they respond quickly. I’ve never experienced a lender who work this thoroughly to get us the best deal they could. I’ve thrown away my other contacts in this industry. Thank You to the team at Fintegra!
