Will NOT work well with an Android phone!
We purchased the Gem Lightbox Pro in October 2022 to photograph ongoing inventory, appraisals, etc. The lightbox DOES take wonderful photos using their app and an iphone, HOWEVER this is NOT the case when using an android-based phone. Two of my employees (one employee has an iphone), the other and myself have Samsung Galaxy Phones (one S10 plus, one S22 plus) and although the android phone's cameras are amazing on their own, they are not capable to achieve a perfect or near perfect, white background when using the Picup Media's app and Gem Lightbox Pro. My people here spent COUNTLESS hours speaking and emailing with Picup Media's tech people over many weeks, only to learn in the end (yesterday, 12/23/22) that there is no further help that they can assist with, and that we're on our own at this point. To be honest, I feel completely DUPED by Picup Media and their DISHONEST claims that their product will work equally with either iphone or android. We will now be forced to spending more money to purchase a dedicated iphone to use with this lightbox, which is already grossly overpriced.
