GEEOReviews of geeo.org

I have gone on 16 trips with GEEO to the far corners of the world. The team at GEEO will answer any questions pretty much 24/7 and they will do anything that is in their power to rectify a problem. I am so incredibly happy that stumbled across them 15 years ago and took the leap to travel with them. If you are a solo traveler, don't worry-half of the people on the trips are singles. I have made so many great travel friends over the years!

I took a GEEO trip to Morocco and had the most incredible experience. I had so many wonderful opportunities that I would never be able to experience without the connections GEEO has. I was able to help create a rug with women in a co-op near Marrakech, interacted with local Berbers in Merzouga, and got to support a local community of women through a lunch and traditional tea. Our tour guide Abdul had amazing recommendations for activities and restaurants during our free time. We had the most amazing local guides as well. I got to ride the Sahara Dunes, hike two mountain ranges, dance on stage at a dinner show in Fes, and got to walk Roman ruins from the 2nd century. I cannot recommend GEEO enough. I found some of the hotels to leave a little to be desired (not the best air conditioning or most comfortable beds) but it was worth it. If I could experience this trip all over again, I would in a heartbeat.

GEEO plans a trip well by taking care of hotels and accommodations that are in the heart of the city and give you a good feel of the place. The itinerary is planned well to make the most of your time. I would recommend traveling through GEEO a 100% from some many programs they have.

I’m quite comfortable managing my own solo trips, but thought I’d try a group tour (Bali + Komodo) just for kicks… Got to say… HOOKED! 😆 Yes, I can book each activity, hotels, do my research… but having someone design a wonderful program and I just show up?! WOW. That saves so much time, brain cells, and approximately 47 open browser tabs. 😂 Loved the balance between planned activities & free time, with plenty of flexible optional activities thrown in. BIG shoutout to our guide Gede. Knowledgeable and organized aside, it’s just such a pleasure having someone you can count on AND party with. Even with 14 of us, he made each one of us feel like we were personally taking care of, and never felt like he was babysitting. He led and guided the group and somehow, still feels like one of us. With Gede, it’s Good EveryDay. 😝

Just returned from a Vietnam and Cambodia trip with GEEO and had a fantastic trip. The tour leader, itinerary, optional excursions and accomodations were all fantastic.

GEEO does a fantastic job of selecting guides who are helpful and informative. Accommodations were fantastic. Our tour of Egypt had a nice balance of group activities and free time to explore. I love GEEO trips because I have learned so much and had opportunities to interact with the local residents.

I was nervous to take a group tour… especially to a location that is rather far and difficult to get to. From the very start of the process, GEEO demonstrated a dedication to meeting the needs of its travelers, as well as trust-worthiness, and commitment to its mission by their responsiveness to questions, their thorough itinerary and pre-planning resources. and their overall transparency about what to expect/not expect. The wonderful trip then further confirmed for me that this is a reputable, well organized travel program that I will absolutely be traveling with again.

It was only a quick dip into Scotland because the country has so much more to offer. I left the trip feeling a good understanding of Scotland and a strong desire to come back and explore deeper. Our tour guide was fantastic. Our group was a good mix of ages, experiences, and perspectives.
