Gaucho Restaurant Glasgow All staff are really polite, friendly and professional. Can't say that about the food though. Very disappointing for a so called steakhouse. Had better steaks in many many restaurants but never as bad as this one. The place needs refurbished and not very clean. Old cutlery. I will never be back! Two steaks, sides, chips, mushrooms, sauces, starters and s/toffee pudding (okay) £260 inc tip. Money for nothing.

Gaucho Richmond. The service felt rushed, the steak wasn't the best. The overall experience wasn't good at all and pricing is off the scale even for a small bottle of beer. Gaucho used to be my go to for a nice evening and a brilliant steak, this has now changed

I wanted to share my disappointment with my visit to Gaucho Piccadilly on 18th June at 5pm for my 30th birthday. I chose your restaurant for an important milestone, despite having so many other options to celebrate at, and unfortunately it feels like that was a mistake. I made it clear in my booking that it was my birthday, but apart from the hostess seating us, there was no acknowledgment at all. For such a special occasion, that was really disappointing. What made it worse was the service — staff kept trying to take our plates while we were still eating, which felt rushed and rude. It made us feel uncomfortable rather than relaxed. On top of that, the food was underwhelming and nowhere near worth the price. Considering the level of service and quality, the service charge didn’t feel justified. Overall, it was disappointing from start to finish, and for what was meant to be a special celebration, I expected much better.

Father’s Day in Richmond, so where better to go than a Gaucho on the river, right? Wrong. Rocked up to bedlam. It was like the last dinner service on the Titanic. Waiters rushing around like headless chickens, with a front of house totally uninterested in any form of social interaction. First thing he said to me? ‘Your duration is 90 minutes’. No hello, no welcome, no eye contact. Just vibes that yelled, give me your money asap. Then got shown to the table. Asked for a negroni, but told that they could only order water (money again, right guys?!?). A waiter would ‘come over to take care of that’. But they didn’t. 20 minutes later, not a peep, despite me watching four different waiters (and a manager) laying up tables. So in the end we walked out, water-less, negroni-less, and steak-less. My advice would be go to Sophie’s instead.

I went on a works Christmas meal to Gaucho Manchester. The service wasn’t good. We had food arrive we didn’t order and we were charged for it. The wine order was taken wrong and we were told we wouldn’t pay extra but it was still added. The service charge is daylight robbery as the service we received was poor. The steak was the only nice part. I have since complained and got only one reply to 4 emails to say someone believed the restaurant had received it. Since then despite requesting a response I’ve been completely ignored. Their customer service is beyond incompetent. Unless you are going to turn up eat a single steak and leave I wouldn’t bother.

After looking on there website we decided to book Manchester for our anniversary on Valentine’s Day. The service was absolutely atrocious, the staff were wearing dirty white shirts and there was just no etiquette about them whatsoever, it’s like it was a chore to serve you. We was placed on small table in the dark, and couldn’t read the menu, the candle was not lit. We ordered the £115 chateaubriand medium rare, it arrived in what can only be described has a hospital metal bed pan and was more rare than medium rare, we had to ask for the condiments as none on the table. A couple of young ladies got up and went to the toilet and when they came and they had re set the table for more guest, the shock on their faces was priceless.

I would like to acknowledge that both the waiting staff and the quality of the food were good. However, this was significantly undermined by the conduct of the restaurant manager, Dominic, whose handling of the situation was disappointing and unprofessional. It was clear that the manager was struggling to cope with the pressures of service and, as a result, made it evident to our waiter that our table needed to vacate. This occurred despite the fact that our party of six had only just completed dessert, had been dining for approximately two hours, and had spent in excess of £400. When we attempted to raise our concerns regarding his manner and approach, the manager was dismissive and unwilling to engage in any meaningful discussion. The matter was brushed aside with a cursory verbal apology, which did not adequately address the situation or our concerns.
