Fun Factory PartiesReviews of funfactoryparties.com

Poor customer service, the character I booked for my sons birthday was late and had a bad attitude when he showed up, would not book again

This was the rude and unclear answer to my inquiry. Very disappointed. I also had the screenshot but you can't attach to this platform. Byer Beware! Abby Cadabby Adult mascot costume rental $219/ Order online funfactoryparties.com thanks What is this, please explain thanks for your assistance. Which part wasn't clear 3 days for $158 but you quoted much higher? Why is that? Hmmmmmm so exactly which part of this wasn't clear Abby Cadabby Adult mascot costume rental $219/ Order online funfactoryparties.com thanks What is unclear is you are saying $219 but I read online after that $158? That is conflicting information is it not, so what the price difference is my missing puzzle piece. Great. Here's our costume rental page. See if you can find any pricing in here. It's on giant letters at the top if that helps. No thanks, I saw that and then went inside your platform and read the $158 price. Since you have double pricing and can't explain why, I'll discontinue the interest. I'm now curious to if FB may have a better explanation if I'm reading and understanding this incorrectly or do others come to the same puzzling reaction. Noooo response after several times to get the answer of two prices. Strange business, feels shady and I didn't order.

As a professional performer, I answered a craigslist ad for a costume character. Jeff herring answered me and hired me (without ID or background) to work an event, as the character Mickey Mouse. He said that he was in Africa, and that I was to show up at this address, and perform for an hour and then send him his cut of the money via PayPal. He then put me in touch with someone who used to be the performer, but is now moving out of state… I met with her and she showed me a crowded warehouse full of NASTY looking old smelly costumes. She said that these get shipped all across the nation and there is no way to actually clean or sanitize them because they will get ruined so when they come back, she just sprayed them with Lysol and put them back in a box until they get used again. She let me know that Jeff is very unprofessional, and that he is basically nonexistent she has not ever met him, but has worked for him for many years she said that there was a crackhead lady named Roxana, who usually does his parties, but she is a meth head . There was never any background check done for me or an ID even asked for from this guy, Jeff Herring, but he wanted to send me out to a kids birthday party. As a professional, who has done this for many years, I contacted the client the night before to make sure that I knew who the birthday party was, for what age what gender, and any details that I might need prior to my event. I reached out to Jeff after I spoke with the client to let him know that I had all the information I needed and that I would go ahead and pay pal him the money when I was done. He then told me to not ever contact his clients, and that he provided the number just for emergencies. Being that, I was already apprehensive about him not checking my background before sending me in front of children, as well as not asking for ID or any kind of information about myself not to mention the way that the smelly Costumes Work kept, and the crackhead looking person who showed me the warehouse paired with him being “ in Africa”- I told him that I was not going to do the party I did not feel comfortable. He then began to harass me with hundreds of messages, demanding that I return the Mickey Mouse costume right away, and that he was going to press charges against me and call the police. After a lot of back-and-forth in which I let him know that he had the wrong person to be talking to that way, he sent a UPS label with his Santa Cruz address on it, and I sent back the Mickey Mouse costume. He continued to harass me and I wound up having to block him. He is very unprofessional, and I don’t know why anyone would lie about being out of the country and needing to be pay pal the money, but the whole thing is weird. I did some digging and found out that Disney actually sued him a while back for using his characters unlicensed. This guy is a weirdo and very unprofessional do not do business with him. If you’re looking for a costume characters tray, it’s a party. They are way better, professional, and SAFE not a criminal crackhead.!!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Jeff is an absolute crook. He quoted me a price, exchanged multiple emails with the price in the subject line, and then increased it by $140 without my consent. He had a teenager hold my daughter's birthday party hostage until I paid cash in full! The poor worker told me that Jeff DOES THIS ALL THE TIME and, while the worker was very apologetic, he had to follow orders. Don't hire Jeff's company unless you are ok with unscrupulous business practices and have extra money laying around that you aren't expecting to spend. My good friend (and great lawyer) says we should go after him...I'm still waiting for his response. Here is his original email and quote. He can say/send whatever he wants but this is what was agreed to. I was happy with the worker but would NEVER work with Jeff again and DO NOT recommend. Additionally, as you can see in his original email, he says to order online which is not possible on his website. Just another example of his unprofessionalism. His unprofessionalism knows no bounds. He responds to my review by posting my PERSONAL INFORMATION. When I asked him to take down my personal information, he told me that if I take down my bad review then he will remove his response. THE WORST!!

I tried to book them, but the communicating with them is impossible. They seem either very busy or don't care about the customer. If they are like that before taking the money, how would they be after taking the money. Worst of all, they don't talk on phone. Not recommended. Thankfully I check other review here. And saved myself.

There should be an option for zero stars. The (owner?) of this company was so extremely rude and unprofessional I honestly thought I was being pranked. I’ve never in my life had an experience like this. His correspondence was short, condescending, and seriously just unbelievable. I am in total shock that this guy is in business and people actually pay for his services. I can’t stress enough how awful this Jeff Herring person was, I know people say this.. but I NEVER write reviews. This was such a crazy experience that I had to share..do not give this person your business, money, or time. He should honestly be ashamed of himself.

Agree with other reviews this is terrible company if you don’t want a headache during your event don’t book them. Here is what happened to me i ordered pony and petting zoo. I paid 125 deposit and was supposed to pay 370 at the event. His text message clearly said pony zoo. And if you look at their website 495 is price for an hour of petting zoo and pony. The guys showed up 40 min late with NO pony. And then he made me pay same amount as it was with pony. He keep saying that funfactory deposit doesn’t count and they are separate company. Be careful with paypal, in the text message he said 495 pony zoo, but when he sent paypal receipt it was just petting zoo for 495z when you try to complain they refer you to the paypal receipt and say see its 495 and there is no pony listed! Anyway it looks like i am not the only one these crooks ruined the party for so please just don’t book with them!

I'm at a very interesting position due to the fact I have worked for this company for over 10 yrs off and on.  I had no idea the owner Jeff was the way he was.  Let me explain.  I went to an event Jeff booked last weekend but the client said he already had a magician and Jeff was rude to him and unprofessional.  So I left the event and told Jeff I still needed to be compensated for my time as I had turned down bookings for his event as well, he said ok and never paid me.  Little did I know he had cussed out the client and threatened bodily harm come to his kids and covid as well.  I couldn't believe it. DO NOT BOOK YOUR EVENT WITH THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT YOUR KIDS SAFE.  JEFF NEEDS TO BE REPORTED TO BBB and THE AUTHORITIES FOR MAKING TERRORISTIC THREATS.  I HAVE SCREEN SHOTTED HIS TEXT TO THE CLIENT.
