Incompetent and Unprofessional freight company
Road Runner Freight was a 3rd party shipper contracted by the manufacturer to deliver a TV. The original order had a requested delivery date that was shown on Road Runner's tracking software which they tout as REAL time tracking... (. IT IS NOT !) After seeing the tracking number Still at the original terminal after 72 hours while STILL showing delivery on the requested delivery date, I started reaching out to customer service reps. NONE of the 3 individual CS reps could verify the issue as I told them the delivery date was critical for a special event and to add insult to injury .. they couldn't even get anyone at the shipping terminal to return calls or emails ! This was apparently a consistent problem with the Commerce Terminal. Eventually, after 4 days of phone calls and emails with Customer service, the TV shows up at the city terminal a day late, But can't be delivered because Road Runner freight will not deliver on weekends. THEN... the company tries to make an Unscheduled and uncoordinated Late delivery with an only a 30 min heads up text, forcing my son to leave work, only for the Truck to break down and cancel! You can't make this up .. Finally the TV gets delivered a WEEK LATE. way past the special event! The Commerce Service Center MGR claimed he did not know of the requested delivery date yet both the manufacturer and all 3 CS reps said they passed it along. I spent 2 weeks of leaving voice mails to the Commerce terminal MGR to get any possible extenuating details, But Shaun had neither the integrity or professionalism to return my calls. Bottom line... Do EVERyTHING you can to avoid using Road Runner Freight !! The CS reps were nice and caring, but operationally they are inept and unorganised. Their tracking software still showed our shipment its origin terminal even AFTER it arrived !
