Tried to donate. Took forever to get approved, I asked a moderator and they said it's volunteer work. He said he couldn't be bothered and to go drop it off at goodwill.

A nonprofit and globally local re-gifting and re-use network, each group is moderated by a local volunteer who keeps things flowing along. It's like a cyber curbside, or a family-friendly and scam-free Craigslist for free stuff, keeping good stuff out of landfills to the tune of 32,000 items a day in over 5,000 local groups. Find your local group on Freecycle.org and let the re-use and de-cluttering begin!

Freecycle used to excellent. It was thriving and ever so useful. Since the owners have made ssed about with the website it is practically unusable. The amount of posts have dwindled but they still keep messing with the outlay. You have run it into the ground by ruining it.

Getting very frustrated with Freecycle. Have been on it for about 5 years now and only recently have had problems. Mainly with “awaiting approval “ Seems to take an age!

I used to love freecycle but the new setup is awful, the first page is clogged with TAKEN, I'm moving onto gumtree freebies and Freegle

The new website is terrible. You can't conveniently reply to messages direct from yrou mailbox. On the website there's no way of putting an item on hold while you wait to see if it's being collected. The methods for tracking your messages items is far clunkier and worse than before. I haev offered several items. I've had replies, but no follow ups. I think this is because there is no mailbox like place where you can see all yoru messages. It's almost unusable. If you read this, Freecycle, please get the website fixed by someone who has actually used Freecycle.

Used to be a brilliant site, i used it to post all my unwanted stuff to people less fortunate, New website is terrible, posting an add takes days to post, moderators are terrible to discuss any issues with the site, a lot of traders now are in on the game, Needs someone to make a new site on the same principle

I love freecycle, I've used it for over 4 years. I've always had a positive response to my posts whether offering items or wanting items. I have always had a good experience too when I've been responding to other people's offered posts. Thank you Freecycle.😁

I am a bit annoyed when items appear as ‘Taken’ when the ‘Offer’ listing has not even made it to the notification board! It’s generally really interesting and useful items as well. I believe the Mods are getting in first, and not giving the genuine Freecyclers a look in.
