Hand-forged carbon steel tools. Born in a small Ukrainianworkshop. Loved by woodcarvers, leatherworkers, bushcrafters andgift-givers in 60+ countries. For generations, the smiths in our corner of Ukraine have beenforging carbon steel by hand — one blade at a time, hammered, quenched, ground, and honed by people who actually use the toolsthey make. Sharky Forged Steel Tools carries that tradition forward.Every blade we ship is forged from hardened carbon steel52100 (ASTM A295), the same alloy used inhigh-performance bearings, chosen because it takes a screaming-sharpedge and holds it through real work. Whether you’re carving aspoon by the fireplace, sculpting a relief panel, cutting leatherfor a wallet, or splitting kindling at base camp, a Sharky tool isbuilt to feel right the first time you pick it up — and stillfeel right twenty years later. Thank you very much for your review! We’re delighted to hear you’re happy with the gouges and that the delivery went smoothly.
The carving knives I purchased are simply excellent. They arrived already razor-sharp, and I didn’t have to sharpen them or use the strop. I mainly tried them on linden wood, but also on harder woods like chestnut. In both cases, they hold their edge extremely well. The handle is also ergonomic and, at least in my opinion, very comfortable, allowing for a secure grip on the knife. I think that, being handmade and not mass-produced, they have a value beyond the economic one—a value I would call artistic, because crafting carving tools by hand is an art. Sharky Forged Steel Tool are both skilled craftsmen and artists. The people I spoke with (regarding a customs issue that was later resolved) were very kind and honest. In short, an excellent impression overall, and I will definitely buy from them again.

Thank you for your feedback, and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. I would like to clarify that the 3–5 days mentioned during the order process is the approximate time needed to prepare the tool for shipment. Once shipped, international delivery usually takes about 6-21 days depending on your location. I am also very sorry to hear that the tool was not properly sharpened. This does not meet our usual standards. We will contact you directly via email very soon to resolve this issue and assist you with your other questions to ensure your full satisfaction.
