Hand-forged carbon steel tools. Born in a small Ukrainianworkshop. Loved by woodcarvers, leatherworkers, bushcrafters andgift-givers in 60+ countries. For generations, the smiths in our corner of Ukraine have beenforging carbon steel by hand — one blade at a time, hammered, quenched, ground, and honed by people who actually use the toolsthey make. Sharky Forged Steel Tools carries that tradition forward.Every blade we ship is forged from hardened carbon steel52100 (ASTM A295), the same alloy used inhigh-performance bearings, chosen because it takes a screaming-sharpedge and holds it through real work. Whether you’re carving aspoon by the fireplace, sculpting a relief panel, cutting leatherfor a wallet, or splitting kindling at base camp, a Sharky tool isbuilt to feel right the first time you pick it up — and stillfeel right twenty years later. The Medium Stock Knife - Cloggers knife is high quality and sharp. It works great. It's sheath was a bit too small. The Whittling Knife for Wood Carving with Leather Sheath is great. Both great additions to my wood carving tool kit.

This leather chisel/tool wrap was high quality and well worth the price. The shipping was a little longer than I would have normally liked (took almost 3 weeks), but wasn't in a hurry to get it. Overall great product.

Rick, thank you. I am glad the delivery arrived so quickly and that you are pleased with the quality. We shape each leather round knife from 52100 carbon steel in our workshop so it keeps clean sharpness through dense leather. Put the blade to honest work on your cutting table, and we would love to see the leather projects you craft with it! Yaroslav & the team
Ordering off of Sharky Forged Steel was easy and straightforward. I ordered the spoon carving set for beginners. Everything came as described, high quality and very clean designs. The handles on each of the tools have a very comfortably smooth grip that made learning that much more enjoyable. Shipping was as prompt as it could be considering this shipped from Ukraine to the U.S. I would definitely order from this company again! Wonderful

I'm excited to see a new company making hook and spoon knives, and I bought several for the spoon-carving classes I teach. For the price, these are very good quality knives, which makes them a great option for outfitting students. They arrived reasonably sharp, though not quite as keen out of the box as some established makers' knives. My main issue is that the bevel rails on my knives weren't aligned. That makes it hard to sharpen with a stone that rides both rails and brings the edge to a clean apex. I've been regrinding each one so they'll be easy to maintain from here on. It's taken some time, but now that's done, I expect them to be solid tools for my classes. These feel like the kind of fit-and-finish issues a young company works out as it refines its process, and I'd happily buy from them again as they do. Four stars for a good start, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they improve.
