Many of our captains are on the water guiding trips throughout the day and typically reach out to customers to confirm final trip details approximately 24 hours before departure. When you contacted our Customer Support team, our agent reached out to the captain on your behalf. When the cancellation request was later reverted, the intention was to keep the booking active while the situation was being clarified and to avoid you unnecessarily losing your deposit under the applicable cancellation policy—not to disregard your concerns. We also want to address the suggestion that FishingBooker prioritizes captains over customers. Our role is to support both customers and captains while fairly applying the booking and cancellation policies agreed to when a reservation is made. That said, we understand that the communication caused uncertainty and frustration, and we’re sorry that the situation ultimately resulted in a disappointing experience. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to continue improving how situations like this are communicated and handled.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry the trip did not match what you were expecting, but we would like to clarify a few points. The 4-hour trip booked was specifically advertised for inshore, reef and slightly offshore fishing, including reef fishing and light tackle. The offshore fishing and species mentioned in this review are advertised on the captain’s longer trips. The additional $500 discussed was the advertised price difference between the 4-hour trip booked and the 6-hour trip. You can confirm that on the captain's lisitng. While we understand it can be disappointing to see another boat return with a different catch, each charter and trip has its own itinerary and inclusions. We always recommend reviewing the specific trip description when booking, particularly when there are certain species or a specific type of fishing you’re looking for. We also want to clarify that phone support is available, and we do have a phone conversation with you on file. The captain’s direct number is provided in the confirmation email, and our contact numbers are available on our Contact Us page. The 25% gratuity is mentioned on the listing as well, but it is suggested, not mandatory. We’re sorry there was a misunderstanding about what was included in the trip. We’re always happy to help before booking to make sure the charter selected is the right fit for the experience you’re looking for.

We understand how frustrating it is to have a fishing trip canceled after you’ve made plans and were looking forward to your day on the water. The decision to cancel was made due to the extreme heat, with the safety and comfort of everyone on board in mind. We understand that you would have appreciated more notice and clearer communication surrounding the cancellation, and we appreciate you sharing that feedback with us. Your trip was fully refunded following the cancellation. As for the review option, reviews are available after a completed fishing trip, so when a trip is canceled and does not take place, the option to review that booking is not available. We understand that this was not the experience you expected, and we’re sorry it ended on a disappointing note. Safety will always come first, but we also recognize how important clear and thoughtful communication is when plans have to change.
