Farmer Freeman has been the growers' plant testing lab since 2015. We've run 300,000+ DNA tests for home growers, breeders, and commercial farms: early seedling sex testing (EZ-XY), HLVd and pathogen screening, and fig sex testing. No order minimums, results in days, and accurate results guaranteed on every test. Plenty of labs have come and gone since we started. We're still here, and still answering the phone. | Washington, DC based Plant Genetics Laboratory. | Creators of EZ-XY Plant DNA Sex Test.

The quick turn around and the expertise is honestly second to none. I just wish it was cheaper, having to wait for discounts to 10$ feels bad when I want to start a new batch and have to shell out an extra 125$.

we received our test results in a timely fashion-we expect that these results are valid. we have no way of verification of the efficacy of these tests unless a problem arises where none was present before(provided no new introductions cross contaminate) but we have some past history which informs us that we have had successful results in the past that are likely valid.

Love the times we're in, thanks for the service 1st off, very thankful its available. Tbh tho, if you want feedback...I feel the price should be lower for xy test if buying them upfront and in bulk.

Everything was pretty fast for me

I definitely like the service and turn around time was a bit lengthy but it’s probably because I’m in Cali. Definitely happy with the results as long as it’s accurate but I was concerned when I got back the under analysis message and had to wait another few days. Overall, I’m pleased and will use the service again.

Thanks so much for the review, Swen. I’m glad you were happy with the service and that you’d use us again. I completely understand the stress of seeing a sample marked “under analysis” when you’re waiting on results. In those cases, we repeat the sample so we can be confident before sending the final answer. For next time, USPS Priority Mail is usually the better option for return shipping if timing is important, especially coming from California. Thanks again for your patience and for trusting us with your testing. — Jackson
The price going up is kinda lame, but good sercice as always.

Thank you for the feedback, Michael. We know price increases are frustrating, and this was not a decision we made lightly. Rising input costs made it necessary to adjust pricing in our 1–24 test tier. For customers looking to save, we now offer a subscription option that keeps tests at the previous price, and we also run major sales around 4/20 and Black Friday. We really appreciate your support and are glad the service has remained strong.

Have not sent in a sample yet so I can't give 5 stars. But they did send the order really quickly.
